I feared that it would be a challenge to install and/or add the batteries....but it was so easy, even for me!!! Great product!

this light works as seen on ad we were surprised at how well it lit up our patio table and the different light settings are a nice touch. good for eating when dark outside and nice lite for drinking after our meal with our favorite beverage :)

It does a great job lighting up the area under our offset umbrella! There doesn't seem to be a huge difference between the 2nd and 3rd setting regarding brightness, but that could just be me. It doesn't matter however because we keep it on the brightest setting whenever we're out there. The other night I even attached it to our bench swing, and that worked too! You can go to the store and pay a heck of a lot more than this for a light that does just as good of a job as this one at a fraction of the cost. I'm happy with it!

I thought I would wait a few weeks, and after my party to write a review on this product. This umbrella light doesn't disappoint. If you position it low on the post and place it so that the lights iluminate the underside of the umbrella, it provides a soft ambient light. It won't brighten your area like a porch light, but it definately adds the right amount of light to provide classic ambience to any patio. It takes 4 AA batteries. I use rechargable batteries and seem to last a long time.
