Salon Style Blowout - At Home Prices

The Hot Tools Signature Series One Step Blowout Detachable Volumizer and Hair Dryer is a great option for getting a salon quality blowout at home. I always love going to the salon so that they can give me a blowout (not to mention the awesome scalp massage!) but cannot do it at home. The Hot Tools Blowout Volumizer changed that. It is very intuitive and easy to use. While I will still go to my stylist this allows me to have an option in between color visits. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Hot Tools Hairblower

I found the Hot Tools One Step Volumizers even air flow to be great for drying your hair evenly. The oval shape of the brush makes it less likely for hair to get tangled. Also the rubber comfort tips have a massaging affect on my scalp. The long rotating cord works well for easy maneuvering ability I like the fact that the attachment can be removed and the dryer still works. The locking feature for the brush is also good for keeping the attachment secure. Additionally the cool tip makes it much less likely to burn yourself while using the unit. However I did find it to be rather large and on the harder side to handle without stopping for breaks. It also took me a a few minutes to find the on off switch which I believe should be another color for easier visibility. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

easy to operate

I have long, mostly straight, and baby fine hair. I was hoping this would give me great volume but it didn't. It gives a smooth blow out look with gentle turn under for the ends, but it did not give me any volume from the roots. It is easy to use and I like it better than holding a brush and a hair dryer. I prefer to start with a hair dryer and get it mostly dry then switch to this. For a straight, blow-out look - It's great. For volume, it's not. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Hot Tools doesn't disappoint

I'm a fan of Hot Tools so I was excited to try this product. It does what its supposed to do: dries my very long hair in a shorter amount of time and left it smooth and straight. I took 1 star off because I still had still had to use a flat iron on my top layers but that's only because I like to keep it looking sleek. So much easier to manuever than a round brush and blower dryer. Very lightweight. This product is worth the $ and I'm very picky about my hair so if you're on the fence I'd say give it a try!

Works well with thick hair

I have naturally thick, wavy, shoulder length hair and it has worked quite well. I typically have only been using a straightener for hair around my face to smooth it out. Good heat, maybe just slightly wider brush than I was expecting

Salon blowout who?

I received this as a gift for Christmas. I didn’t ask for it and it’s something I didn’t know I needed until I got it and tried it. I have naturally curly hair and like to straighten it every so often. I let my hair air dry until it was just damp then took small sections and went to town. It looked like I just got a blow out from the salon! I took 1 star away because when I would rotate through my hair my hand kept hitting the settings button because where it is located. Also I found it difficult to turn on with one hand as my other hand was usually holding the section of hair I was about to do. A small inconvenience but I loved the results.

Quick to dry, slow to cool down

I have waist length curly hair and the brush leaves my hair really straight because it’s so wide and has an oval shape. It’s not going to give you the same shape a round brush would. If you want some curl at your ends and volume at your roots, you need to really concentrate the brush in those areas. The brush is sturdy and has a lot of surface area which makes drying fast. Cons are that it takes the brush a while before is blows cool air when you switch to the cool setting and the boar bristles are not sturdy enough. They were all bent up after the 1st use.

Love this time saving tool

I've been using this since 8/2019, and haven't touched my flat iron since. I will never go back. It is a huge time saver. I do still use a blow dryer on my roots, so I know they are straightened, and then I use this tool on the rest. It may not be the best for people with fragile hair.

Loud but does a great job

This guy is LOUD, high pitched loud; louder then I expected. But it also does an amazing job on my hair. I was able to use it on the low setting and it's not as ear piercing as high or cool settings. Does it do the job? Absolutely. I love how smooth and silky my hair is and how quickly it dired my hair vs a brush and blow-dryer. Maybe I'll get used to the high pitched loudless, but for now ear plugs will honestly be used if on high/cool setting.

Healthier hair after one style

Best purchase I have made in a while! Not only did this cut my style time down (from completely wet hair to perfectly straight in 15 min. tops), but my hair looks so much healthier not having used the flat iron. I have no frizzy pieces or burned curls that just wouldn’t go straight. So thankful I asked my stylist what product she was using and purchased one for myself. Worth every penny! One complaint is the ease of holding. It feels bulky to me after having used a Chi flat iron for 15+ years. It should be no problem to adapt to, however.
