Recently tried this product out and I am absolutely in LOVE with this device! First and foremost something that I found unique and interesting about this product is the fact that the barrel and bristles on the attachment are made with activated charcoal! I found this device to be super easy to assemble and to get going, the results of my hair after using were astonishing, it dried my thick, long hair in no time and left my hair feeling super soft, silky, and rejuvenated! I love that this product has a 6' swivel cord, so you can maneuver around your hair easily. I also found this product to help alot with frizz issues amongst my hair, this device truly worked wonders for my hair, and I would definitely recommend! Early 2000s tv commercials for crazy hair contraptions made me skeptical, but I’m glad I gave this volumizer a shot. It really is the simplest way I’ve found to give myself a roundbrush blow-out. I have fine hair that tangled easily, but the attachment brushes through my hair smoothly. One downside is that the dryer is not strong enough to dry roots quickly, so I use my regular dryer to dry my roots and then switch to this for midshaft to ends. I was excited to try this Hot Tools Signature Series One Step Blwout Detachable Volumizer and Hair Dryer, I have never used anything like this before. When I pulled the brush out, I was surprised at the size, it's huge. It's a bit large for my hair length, which is shoulder length, so it was hard to get it to curl under the underside of my hair. I like the way it dries and has 2 heat settings and a cool setting, but really need a smaller brush for hair that is the length of mine (shoulder length). I was so excited to get this product. I honestly had no clue things like this existed until recently. It came in an easy to open box, with easy-to-follow directions, so it was a painless learning experience. Though I recently cut my hair short, it’s still thick and I always hated the drying part, but this works quickly and I had no problems. I received the Hot Tools Signature Series One Step Blowout Detachable Volumizer and Hair Dryer to try out. I have used a few products from Hot Tools before but I really like this one! The product came shipped in a box with the dryer and volumizer in separate pieces. To attach, you just screw the volumizer onto the dryer to lock in place and there is an instant release button to remove the head. This product has a variable temperature control on the bottom of the handle, 6 inch swivel cord for easy reach and activated charcoal barrel brush to make your hair smooth. The barrel is vented and coated with ceramic. The tip stays cool so you can hold it while styling your hair. I have very long hair and it usually takes a long time to dry and flat iron. I found when using this tool with damp hair, it cuts my drying time more than half. I usually wear my hair straight but using this I am able to achieve the same look I do with a flat iron cutting out using a blow dryer. I have also found that sectioning the hair first and applying a heat protectant helps speed the styling time up while protecting. I have also been able to get a great curl on the ends just by beveling the barrel in the direction I want the curl to go. I like that this volumizer/dryer breaks down into two pieces because I like to travel, it makes for easy storage. Overall, I think this is a great styling tool from Hot Tools. I mostly like this product! It definitely makes my hair smoother while drying it and if used correctly, it volumizes it too. My personal issue with it was that it was a little heavy. My arm got a little tired holding it above my head for awhile as I was styling my hair. The "base" is heavier than I thought and I wish it were a little lighter weight. I absolutely love how this makes my hair feel after using it. It leaves my hair very soft and not frizzy or dried out at all! It also cuts down my drying time almost in half! I love how big the interchangeable brush is which means that my hair doesn't get caught in it. The ONE downside to this tool is that, because the brush head doesn't rotate on its own, I have to manually run it thru my hair which means my arms get VERY tired when using this, but I do love how much fullness this gives my hair.
