Bought this for a gift and had a lot of fun playing around with it. Will be used for making candle and pen holders. Took a little bit to get used to it, but once we figured it out it was pretty easy. You need a pretty strong grip.

The fact you can pop off the top of your fresh cold one and drink out of it like a mug will blow anyone's mind. Talk about a party trick - you will leave everything so confused about how you did that. And you tell them you chewed it off. And NEVER reveal your party trick.

I’m a big fan, it works great - not over engineered. Reducing foaming of the beer, and tastes better in my opinion. No sharp edges.The only complaint I have is that once the blades cut into the can, it loses its pressurization which makes it more difficult to hold the can and cut the top. However, I don’t really see any way around this and it just takes a few times to get used to.The main complaint I see in the other reviews is that the top drops in. The way I see it is either way your mouth is touching the top of the can - if you’re worried about hygiene then you should wipe down the top of every beer can. The tops floats up and you can grab it out if you desire.

Well worth the money once you can hack it! The trick to using this is to use it before you open the tab on your beer/soda can, even though the directions tell you to open the can first. If you grip it, place the opener on top of the can, and twist it until you can feel it catch the can then just go around till the top comes off. The device isn’t magnetic so if you open it the whole way around the top of the can will fall in to your beer, however, you can just cut the can enough to push the top through. Either way we enjoy it a lot. Hope this helps anyone who had second doubts based off the reviews!

Purchase the original. Previously purchased a knock off. Let me save you the trouble. The original draft top works much better and significantly quicker. The build quality is also much better. This version takes the top of a can in a few twists while the knock off takes many, many, many more twists. My wife makes beer can candles and i was able to take the tops off of about 10 cases of cans in a little under an hour. With the knock off version i would only have gotten one maybe 2 cases done and had sore hands. Bottom line is if you value your time learn from my mistake and spend the extra money to buy the original draft top not a knock off.

I don't see how people are having issues using this to open cans. You get a good grip on the very bottom of the van, not anywhere on the sides, and spin the opener. Regular 12oz cans are super easy to open. The slim cans present a little bit of a problem because length of the sidewalls but after a couple you get it figured out.You might catch a little grief from some friends because you're drinking your beer this way but it's a fun way to drink then from time to time.Great product! I have been using these for about three years now. They have been improving over the years. The first two broke within a few months. My third one seems to much sturdier so we'll see...

The people who give this anything less than 5-stars are inept or extremely impatient. There is a technique and I slightly crushed 2 cans (still drinkable) before getting the hang of it. Mixed drinks out of the can & craft beers without all the Fizz of drinking out of a traditional can… this product is a great conversation started or way to impress your guests and keep the trash and dishwashing to a minimum.

I got into the draft top when it was still a kickstarter. I got my V1 and it was great for about 8 months till it snapped a cutter off. I got this v3 and it's improved (at least it seems it is). If its your first time getting a DT there is a learning curve to opening a can, but once you get the feel for it you will be poppin' tops like a pro.
