Tough to cut

Was really hoping for this to be an easy breezy process, but I find the cutting ability of this device very weak. It takes several spins and sometimes a dented can to get it to work. If I knew this I likely wouldn’t have purchased. Disappointing for certain.

Not the best...

Cool concept but lacking execution. If you manage to get the top off clean (which happened about half the time for me) you need to push it down into the beer and wait for it to float up and fish it out. Several times the beer popped and foamed over the sides. Probably just drink out of a can or use a glass of I really need the "nosefeel" or wtf.

Not Very Sharp

Really have to work at it to get the thing to work and then the lid falls in the drink so that's hard to get out. Wish it was sharper and had an easy way to get the lid back.

$5 item disguised as a $24 dollar item

The Draft Top 3.0 works... but barely. It's advertised as being able to easily and safely remove the top from a can, but it's extremely difficult to actually remove the top. I tried 4 different cans from 4 different brands and I was only able to remove the top from one of them, but it took 30+ full revolutions and I had to reposition the tool multiple times to aim for spots that weren't cutting. 2 other cans I was able to get it cut enough that I could drink from the can, but I couldn't completely cut the lid off so it's in the way when you're drinking. The 4th and final can I couldn't cut enough and I ended up just using the tab to pop it.The one thing it does fairly well is safely crimping the edges of the can so there's no sharp edges where you're drinking from. It did look like it left about a half centimeter of a sharp edge on the one can I was able to completely remove the top from, but I didn't test to see how sharp it was and it may have been a safe spot anyway. The product seems sturdy enough overall, though the swinging arm feels flimsy when in use.Overall, I expect more from American designed and made products.

Plastic not metal

It works ok. I am most disappointed that it isn’t metal like it looks in the picture. It does work but you have to crunch the can a lot to turn it while it’s clamped on. Doesn’t leave a sharp edge so that’s good but the top just falls in. Have to fish it out every time. Good concept, execution isn’t great. I’d hold off on it.

It’s not worth the price

After using this a few times I find it pointless and not worth the purchase. Don’t waste your time on this.

Works sometimes but one of the blades came off and into my beer.

I owned this for about 10 months, using it about as many times. The forst few times took effort, but the blades felt sharp and cut smooth. After the first few uses I noticed the blades were getting dull and it opened way slower and took a lot more effort, which is saying something cause this thing isnt effortless out the box. After using it recently I popped the top off the beer and then felt a “clunk” on my hand inside the beer. After a sip I realized one of the plastic parts holding the blades on came off and was sitting at the bottom of my $20 stout. It’s got so much potential. If they weren’t so pricey I’d love another one because they are so functional, but for the limited use I got out of it, the cost doesn’t add up.

Good design but cheap plastic parts are the downfall

The Headline says it all. The design is good and uncomplicated but the plastic used does not hold up to the constant squeezing needed to open these cans. Maybe the point is you are supposed to keep buying new ones every other month? The durability is not there which is a shame for a Made in the US product! You can do better! For those saying they need to add a magnet to catch the lid before it drops into the beer... Aluminum cans are not magnetic so adding a magnet serves no purpose. That's just Science!Overall it is still a good product with room for improvement.

Underwhelming and gimmicky, 60% of the time it works all the time!

Bought two as gifts for family.. Works really well on SOME cans.. Other cans NOT AS WELL. I ended-up crushing the can with my hand while trying to open it. Drink spilled all over.. They Say it only takes a 1/4 turn to open.. Well maybe on some cans.. It has not been my experience with this "gimmicky thing".Even if one manages not to crush the can with one hand while turning this contraption with the other, good luck getting the top off the can extracted as it is usually gets stuck in the can. Even with the use of the contraption's handle for extraction of the lid (who wants to dip the handle into their beverage, I do not know) it is still really easy to crush and spill the drink all over.. The experiment was worth $20 in amusement of observing grown men trying to figure out what is the point of this thing.
