I bought this crock pot because the ceramic insert on my old one cracked and leaked all over my counter. I got a great deal on this one but when I took it out of the box the ceramic insert was cracked. It didn't look like something that happened in shipping it looked like a defect. I exchanged it. I checked the new one and it doesn't appear to be defective, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

I've had this crock for about a year. Use it about every other week. It's been great. That is until I'm making stuffed chicken thighs like I've made 2 other times. I go to life the lid and it shatters. Ruined the meal and now I'm crockless.

I recently tried to put the stoneware in the oven as it had said it could be done on a certain temp. Let me tell you, don't do it! Mine cracked all over the place and now I am afraid to use the product now. Now I no longer am able to cook in mine due to the fact I am worried of it leaking or breaking on through and busting during cooking now.
Concerned for others
Bought this on sale; figured you get what you pay for. Slow to heat (even on high). Sides do, per other reviews, get EXTREMELY hot. Was concerned that if anyone accidentally touched the sides, it would be a serious burn. No melting (so far) of any knobs or handles. Would not feel safe leaving it unattended, but it serves its purpose. Next time, I'll likely spend a few extra bucks for a piece of mind.

This is a great sized crockpot, it functions as it should. But, the outside gets incredibly hot. Hotter than any other crock pot I’ve owned.

I was looking forward to using but discovered the crockery part had a hairline crack down the center. I worked thru crockpot customer support for replacement.an exact replacement was out of stock so i am now getting an 8qt one in its place.

Ugh. Had to replace my old crock pot and this one is just not as good. Fine for a basic, but I should have paid more and got something with a couple more features.

I liked the price however it seems very cheaply made. Guess the statement holds true you get what you pay for.

Crockpot lid does not fit correctly. I have read from previous reviews that the manufacturer has said it is designed that way. I have to disagree. I have 3 other crockpots that the lids fit very well and have no gaps at all. One of them even has a rubber seal on the lid. How do I get a proper fitting lid?
