[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was just okay. I have this same brand that is digital + much better prefer the digital version but if it's not in the affordable price range, it works as intended.

Bought to cook a large roast. It wasn't until I was ready to turn it on that I realized the lid did not fit. It rests on the small ends, but there is a 1/4" gap on each side. Covered with a t-towel to help keep some of the steam inside. Disappointed. Cooks well, but lid is narrow and lets heat/steam escape way too much.

I want to love it, but instead I'll say that I like it. This rating is particularly due to a design flaw that, if fixed, will propel it up to really like and maybe even love. The curve of the rim of the black ceramic pot allows drips that fall onto it to travel from top of the rim to bottom and then in between the black pot and the heating unit. From there they run down the inside of the heating unit until they reach its bottom where they blacken from the heat and cause more cleanup. Simply using a ladle for soup while the black pot is still in the heating unit results in this if any drops touch the rim of the black pot. Whoosh, they go right around the rim and in between the hot heating unit and the black pot and start to sizzle and burn. Looking at the two vessels together one would think the black pot's rim would prevent this due to a slight overhang, but it doesn't. I'm really careful, and it still happens. The inside of the heating unit is not as easy to clean as the black pot, and I'm quite tired of cleaning it. The inside of the heating unit stains easily too.
