It comes with a charcoal filter so you can filter the water before it brews a cupper. Very simple to add the mini filter. Coffee definitely tastes fresh each time. It makes a noticeable difference in the taste. It heats up quickly enough and brews instantly. Everyone in the home can pour themselves a nice fresh cup before stepping out in the morning.

Carafe holds up to 14 cups and it has a steady tempature warming plate (up to 4 hours) at low, medium or high. It has several settings for making coffee: fast, regular, bold or over ice. This machine makes great tasting coffee and the fast brew system does noticeably make faster coffee than previous coffee makers I've owned. Also, glad this machine has the anti-drip system for when I grab a cup before the carafe is full. This seems to be a really good, quality coffee maker and I'm very happy with it's performance.

This Braun Coffee maker delivered on all of our needs. Its sleek design and profile will look good in any kitchen. Easy to set up, use and clean. This coffee maker allows you to select your own brew like regular, bold, light or even over ice for ice coffee. I can brew 14 cups of coffee faster than my old coffee maker. My coffee stays warmer and the flavor and the aroma last longer My coffee taste great and I can program my coffee at night and in the morning even before I get up the starts to brew. The easy to view water indicator keeps me from over pouring the water.

I cleaned as per instructions & then made a pot of the iced coffee using the Bold setting per the instructions. I drink iced coffee every day & made a full pot to keep in a jar the fridge for daily use. Good flavor, not bitter ( I did use a paper filter in addition to the gold filter provided). Looks nice & does all the things one requires of a coffee maker. I particularly like the 3 settings of Fast, Regular & Bold.

This is another excellent, affordable option from Braun. This coffee maker far outshines the one we are currently using (French press). The design of the product really gives this coffee maker an edge and has numerous easy to read options and settings to brew your cup in multiple ways. The coffee it makes is outstanding! We really like the different strength setting the iced coffee settings. We are totally satisfied and would recommend this product to anyone!

The coffee maker has a modern look and design that can brew 14 cups at a time. My favorite feature of this coffee maker is the fast option, which the factory claims can brew 20% faster than other coffee makers on the market. I am not sure how fast it really was but it did seem to brew a lot faster than my other coffee maker, especially in the morning when you are trying to get everything ready to head out to work. This unit also offers other features such as over ice, regular, bold and auto-on. The unit also has a clean cycle which run really hot water though the unit to get rid any calc or left over coffee grinds in the system. I would highly recommend running a clean cycle before using the unit so that you have a fresh and clean coffee maker for that perfect cup of joe.

The stainless steel finish goes well with my other appliance. It does take up a lot of room on my counter, but I put it away when not in use. The flavors are fresh, bold, and does not have aftertaste after use. The machine gets the coffee really hot.
