[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love this coffee maker, thinking simple is best but it's not the greatest. I had a hard time even setting up the clock and programming in general, maybe it's just me but I thought it would be simple with just a few buttons. Sometimes it works great but then other times it seems to shut off. The design is sleek but the performance and set up is frustrating.

After owning this, for less than one month, the carafe broke, and I dropped a plastic glass on it. Really disappointed. But now I find that the carafe replacement is almost half of the original price of the unit! This is bad. Why can’t they make a metal carafe?

Have had a few months and overall it functions fine. But it t makes a lot of noise during brew cycle is maybe expected but while sitting on the counter after brew it just pops and cracks. This is very annoying to me. Some of the settings and features don’t seem to work maybe instructions are for a different model. Coffee makers have gotten complicated and expensive and I was looking for a better price. So I guess that’s what I get. So again overall it functions, brews fine and nice looking. Just don’t like the noise

I do not like that the clock has been flashing 12:00 since we bought it and have done everything to try and set the clock to the correct time. The coffee is hot and so far has been an okay coffee maker. But one morning recently, I noticed the tiniest chip in the pour spout of the carafe.. I was nervous to use it thinking it may crack with heat etc. Well, glad I did not use it, the chip became larger and eventually cracked the whole carafe. The replacement carafe is over 35.00 Braun said to return to target.. Target doesn’t want it. So either pay to replace or buy a new coffeemaker?!

I've been trying to play with the buttons on the macker it's not working. All of the them.

We’ve developed a hatred for this machine. While there are no issues with actually brewing coffee, the water chamber leaks profusely and the coffee pot pours everywhere when trying to pour a cup. We’re constantly cleaning up water and coffee

We have been using this coffee maker for about 1.5 years. Easy to use, the 14 cup capacity is nice because it's needed on the weekends, "clean" seems to be required frequently but it's relatively easy to do. Make a nice cup of coffee and the warming plate keeps the coffee hot. Unfortunately this morning the unit had a meltdown. After it was done brewing, it beeped and we enjoyed our coffee as usual. When I went back for my second cup, there was the smell of melting plastic and error code E3 flashing. The top of the unit was very hot. I unplugged it and put some water into the reservoir. When I plugged the unit back in and turned it on, 'Clean' was flashing so I prepped and started a cleaning cycle. 'Clean' flashes slowly for a minute and then the unit turns off. The reservoir smells of burned plastic.
