I have two Shih Tzus that are kennel trained. Their kennels that sit on a tile floor and near the sliding back door. The kennels are covered and they have a blanket in them, but I was concerned they were getting cold and winter hasn't even started. I remembered we had thermal cat warming bed mats we put in the garage for our outdoor cats at our old house and the mats worked really well. When I saw this one (it was just like the old ones.), I knew it would do the job. They were both sleeping in the same kennel last night but this morning they were in their own kennel and were toasty. I would recommend these mats for cats and dogs to anyone whose pet(s) need help keeping warm this winter.

I like that my cat will actually sleep on something I bought for him!!

This opinion is from Carlo's "Cat" - mom ordered two of the medium which I love the one she put on her desk so I could lay and watch her work, soft warm and cozy, better than that darned glass desk. The second one is on the leather couch, sure better than the cold leather, improves my hangout by 100%. Then she ordered the large for me to sleep at the foot of her bed at night. I am spoiled I know but all of these are now Carlos approved.

My cat loves it. When I can't find her she's usually napping on this mat. It's her favorite spot to sleep.

I rescued a cat with serious problems with one knee and the opposite hip. He is on both glucosamine and Meloxicam. A combination of warmth and cushion seem to be what keeps him comfortable. My boy likes this so much that I made room for one on the bed. The other is under his favorite bed, on top of carpet. It seems to add an extra level of warmth. Of course, sleeping on top of a warm human is even better!

I already have 4 plug in thermal mats for my cats but I ordered 3 of these self warming mats for extra places to lay. They absolutely love them already. They didn't smell weird or anything and the cats took to them immediately, especially my Bombay cat Max. I just lay them on top of their beds or other places they like to congregate. For $9 you can't beat these!

They like it and it helped keep them warm this winter without having electrical plugs there to pose a safety hazard. I would and probably will buy another one. Good product, worth a try!

I bought this pad for an out-door feral cat that was attracted by our barn cats. He took up residency in our machine shed and because of the cold weather, I put this pad in a box on top of a cat bed set on top of hay for insulation. It seems to suit him fine. He arrives every morning and night for breakfast and dinner looking good even after cold and snowy nights.

My cats love these self-warming pads. They are great if the a/c is too cold, the cats hang out & warm up and I don't have to suffer turning my a/c up and being hot.

My cat took to this right away. I like that there is added warmth from reflected body heat, so no worries about electricity or bothering with batteries. The inner material does make little crunch sounds when my cat walks on it, but it doesn't bother the cat at all.
