Came in Chinese

As the other reviewer mentioned... Both the packaging and the unit came in Chinese. A bit weird since I bought it in the US.Just open your Google Home app and log into your account. Plug in the device and your app should see it. Then follow the steps in the app and it will update the language to use your app language.

It’s ok

I’m not technology savvy at all so that’s my first mistake thinking I could set this up. It was difficult for me just to add contacts. It would be much better if I knew what I s doing but I will say, it’s a nice size for my counter, the lighting on it is very good & I believe it can do a lot more if I knew how to program it. If you’re familiar with Google products, I’m sure you’d love this.

Language

This was a gift for my daughter. The description said it would automatically start up in English. It did not. It made her wonder if this was a legitimate item. After some time, she got it switched. But beware that you may hear Portuguese when you open the box and switch it on.

MEH - underwhelming at best

The screen is not very intuitive nor very responsive. It would have been better off to not be a touchscreen. I don’t find it very useful for much of anything beyond what a $20 Google home mini can do. I would not recommend this for extra utility factor. The screen saver for pictures is nice and weather information displayed is nice as well.

Just Ok but with some annoyances

I got this to replace my early generation Amazon Show. I initially was happy with the Show until Amazon spewed "Sponsored Content" on it all the time making it an annoying home billboard to sell me things with no way to turn those off. Really Amazon?So the Nest. Its ok, not quite there yet as far as maturity. Sound quality is on the low end of satisfactory at medium+ volume levels. Its not as good as Alexa at responding or picking up commands issues being -1. It sometimes seems to be "thinking" or theres a lag somewhere when asked to do something. It may reply after many seconds or it may just not reply at all.2. Since I have a Samsung phone, both try to reply or get confused as to which device should reply. I changed the sensitivity setting for the Nest to be higher, but still theres a collision going on sometimes. Hey Google developers - why not make it possible to customize the wake word like Alexa does so different devices have different wake words?Googles behind on this device system and since their probably isn't much revenue or reason to improve it, I think its always going to be a "meh" device.
