I purchased this product to help me manage my growing list of smart devices and to be honest I was a little afraid that I wouldn't actually use it much considering I already have quick access to Google Home's functionalities via several Alexas, my phone, and my voice. Day 1 it's already put my fears to bed. The dedicate Home Control interface is actually better than my phone's Google Home app and well-optimized for tablet use (unlike most apps on my own Android tablet). I do wish I could customize the app list since I don't use a lot of the installed services or even add more apps, but it's not a big deal.Media management is also pretty great. The speakers are surprisingly solid quality, I think a little better than Alexa speakers (sorry Amazon). I wouldn't recommend watching anything on a 7-inch screen but it's quite easy to cast stuff onto your smart tv; you can even set connected devices for default display/audio playback so with one touch you can use the Hub as a fancy tv remote or control music quickly. My biggest gripe is with the setup. Like other buyers, my Nest Hub did start up in a foreign language (Mandarin) but adding the device in your Google Home app on your phone and scanning the Hub's QR code should immediately fix this quirk. It also took a few tries to get it to connect to my wifi but that could have been my internet being stupid. In addition, I encountered a bug where the Hub "freezes" when giving me the initial feature tour (It wouldn't let me progress through the tutorial and I could access the Photo Gallery and settings but nothing else) but this is fixed by rebooting the Hub on your Home app and letting it update. All of this is only annoying for initial setup, but as someone already entrenched in the Google ecosystem I wish it was a little more plug and play.Overall I don't believe the Nest Hub is worth the ~$100 price tag per unit in its current state, but with further refinements or a 3rd generation I would absolutely put one of these in every room. Despite that, it's still good value compared to Amazon and Apple's offerings and a useful accessory for smart home control.

The Google Nest Hub was obviously meant for the Chinese market. All the text on the box was in Chinese. Fortunately, the Hub connected to my US-based network...after several attempts. Next time, I would ask this seller if they are sending Chinese equipment :/

I loved it. Looks great. Very easy to use. Just a couple of details. Some functions are not available in all areas like sleep monitoring. Also, the interface is a bit slow. All the other features work fine

I switched from my Amazon hub to this one. I find it annoying I have to say "Hey Google" everytime. also, the info spit out as requested is not as good as when I used the Amazon version
