Great router for home use, I would like to see some more advanced features and functions but it gets the job done for the basics, gaming, vpn, etc.

The setup is pretty straightforward for this router. Using the app makes it user friendly. The range so far is acceptable but nothing special when compared to my previous D Link routers in the past. I might even say the signal strength does not extend quite as far as my older router which is no longer available. But so far, this router handles the internet traffic much faster and doesn’t get bogged down. I have a device rich environment and so far, this router is handling the traffic like a champ.

The router is advertised as dual band, and it automatically chooses 2.4 or 5.0 MHz based on what works best. This does not work for us. We have 3 smart devices that only work with 2.4, and they simply don’t connect.

I've bought D-Link routers for years, and now that I'm building a network for a "smart" house, I wanted to upgrade to 802.11ax and use this router along with my previous D-Link router to provide a separate physical network for my IoT devices, however once I got to setting it up, I see that the DIR-X5460 does not support static routes to LAN ports (only WAN). I'm returning this item, and trying an ASUS WiFi6 router. This is probably a rare situation for most users, but thought I'd review it.

Works great for what I needed. No reason not to give it 5 stars other than nothing is perfect

Easy to set up seems stronger then older would recommend worse what I paid for it

I bought this router for a faster through put and range in the house. I found the throughput definitely increased to near gig speeds with the advanced WiFi standards. The mimo technology did increase the range but, Unfortunately i still had to buy an extender to adequately cover my 2500 sq space as the signal is weakened by the cinder block construction.

Previously had a tplink 1750 router running openwrt, on the speed test I was getting 130 Mbps, this router puts down a solid 200+ Mbps on stock software, For under $40 its a decent speed upgrade. I run two gaming rigs while video streaming ect is going on in the living room and there isn't a noticable performance loss, I call it a win.

I was initially confused by setup. I am not very computer savvy. The directions would be more helpful if they had you initially connect the router to your computer via cable. You can then use your computer to complete setup if you don't want to scan the code they provide. (I couldn't get my phone to scan the code). Once I connected the router to the computer, setup was straightforward. The only other issue is with streaming. For some reason, when we try to stream Netflix on our living room TV, about 15 feet from the router with two walls in between, the signal keeps dropping. It doesn't happen with other streaming services and it doesn't happen in other rooms so I'm not certain what's going on.
