Great for a while, but once the battery goes it's over

Amazon says I bought this in May 2021. It is a terrific product, but the longevity just isn't there. The suction was great, the few accessories it comes with are great, but after about 18 months, it started to sputter out on us. First it just seemed like the charge wouldn't hold as long, then it would be having to clean the filter after every use, and now we're lucky if it lasts 15 seconds. The suction has also started to wane - just cannot get enough juice to suck up the corners or to use the brush attachment for small channels and such. We thought we could just buy another battery but those are just as expensive as the product itself. We will be looking for a replacement, probably trying a different brand.

Good product but received a used unit out of the box.

I was surprised how this could happen, the product was received in a generic box and packaging materials. Also, some of the components are not new and have been used. Dishonesty!

Use this convenient little gem all the time!

I grab this little vacuum so many times! It works best on solid surfaces. For short dog hair on chairs or fabric couches it doesn’t perform well for some reason, a lint roller works better probably because it doesn’t have power rollers. But for dust on wood trim with the brush attachment , my solid surface stairs, cleaning debris up after projects it’s sooo convenient! The major complaint is SHORT BATTERY LIFE! Don’t expect to detail your car with this on one charge. It’s powerful enough but won’t last. It’s ideal for convenient, quick pickups. The two in one attachment flips positions and conveniently doubles as a dusting or crevice tool saving on the frustration of too many parts. Nice little button feature to pop open debris compartment for emptying and access filter to clean. Little high of a price point for its short battery life and limited use but I had a gift card towards my purchase and I use it all the time.

Excellent overall product

From a product perspective, this thing is great. Everything you'd need to know is printed directly on it, right where you'd expect it to be. The thing is very well engineered and does seem to be of decent quality. The suction power (if you turn it on and stick it against your hand, it'll dangle there and hold on firmly) is somewhat deceptive - there's not a ton of airflow so it will NOT suck up things like crusty fallen leaves from house plants, even though other "handheld vacuums" (dust busters) will. I'm comparing this directly to a B&D Pivot which is about five years old... the Pivot is the better all-around cleaning tool, and it will tolerate a lot more mis-use, such as sucking up small puddles or water around the sink. I wouldn't want to stick the Shark's pretty little face in such nasty messes, it might smear its makeup. The vacuum very quickly loses that last ounce of suction once the bin starts to fill up. If you're trying to use the upholstery tool (curved, for some reason, just about every other upholstery tool I've seen is flat) and the bin is not absolutely empty, you might as well turn the vacuum off, do your scrubbing, then turn it back on to pick up the little bundles of turd it gathered up. This was my findings on a microfiber seat, which is admittedly one of the more difficult to clean surfaces.Putting the crevice tool on puts it at an awkward length, can make it difficult to clean horizontal surfaces above your head since you're basically holding a broom handle. This is another strength for the Pivot, since it allows you to bend the thing in half.Shark has a few extra attachments available (up to $20 a piece!) that are not included. I don't know whether they weren't included because they found them to be ineffective, or if this is just a way to cut the cost of the product. I don't think this vacuum has enough suction to efficiently use a mattress cleaning tool, which is one of the attachments they have available. The scrubbing tool looks interesting, but again, I wouldn't feel good about sucking up really filthy messes with this delicate little tool. This thing is made for picking up dry debris from hard surfaces. It does that very well. If you want a dustbuster that can handle just about anything you throw at it, go for the B&D Pivot instead. If you think you're going to use this to clean out your car, you're much better off with a similarly priced shopvac with a 2" or 1.5" hose and a good, large crevice tool. I bought this solely because it was available for a decent discount and was open-box, and because I really wanted a dustbuster with a brushless motor (sounds cool) that wasn't a Dyson.Time will tell whether this vacuum will last as long as it's $60 counterpart.

Lightweight and easy to use

I like the sleek design, which makes it easy to use for windowsills. It picks up dust and hair very well and compared to lots of other hand held vacuums had a pretty good suction. I just haven't found a lightweight hand held vacuum that gives super strong suction, including this one. I read lots of reviews and made quite a study of it. To get super strong suction I think one would have to get a heavier machine. This one had very good reviews for the suction capacity, and Shark in general is a good brand (I have an upright Shark vacuum and love it!). It is very easy to clean and seems to be well made. It has a very small capacity for dirt, but most hand held vacuums seem to need cleaning after every use, so that's not too much of an issue. I'd say overall it's pretty good. If a person wants bigger capacity for debris, the design will be more bulky (i.e. Black and Decker). It just depends on what you want to use it for. It's truly perfect for windowsills and along a baseboard. I hope this helps!

Didn’t hold a very long charge.

This one doesn’t hold a charge very long, maybe 8 minutes, but it’s enough to do what it’s designed for. I thought it would hold a charge longer than that though, for something that costs $100.

Strong suction

Don’t let the size of this vacuum fool you. It has a pretty powerful suction. It’s been great at picking up all the crumbs out of high chair and crevices. Easy to empty. It comes with attachments. I do wish it lasted a bit longer before having to go back on the charger. But I would definitely purchase again.

Great little vacuum!

Love this vacuum for our hardwood stairs and kitchen tile floors. It’s powerful, rechargeable and good looking. Just pay attention which button you’re going to push or you may end up emptying the contents onto the floor.
