When the unit arrived, it was barely being held together in the box. After examining the unit, there was some damage, but I decided to give it a try anyway. After setup, and turning it on, it does blow cold air…but….once that compressor kicks in, it’s like a jet engine. After reading the manual about the filters, I unscrewed the area where the noise was coming from and noticed some water and a yellow wire that wasn’t connected to anything. I chatted with support to voice my concern about these issues and was told these things were both fine. That’s a bit worrisome. Water, a very hot compressor, and a loose wire seems like a horrible disaster waiting to happen. I may have to return just to keep my sanity.

Aside from being unbelievably noisy it does a nice job of keeping a 20' x 15' very cool!

had to wait a while, when it arrived the plastic parts that connect it to the hose and the window screen were broken. Got on a chat with product support and they said that I could not get a replacement part, only return the whole 75lb unit or get a refund and return it. Then they could not replace it because the unit was out of stock. had to super glue a brand new item to make it workable! it now works and it is great.

At the rated square foot room it Keeps room temp as long as the outside temp is below 90. Above that it’s helping but running constantly. Not an issue unless it’s in your office or a room you need to hear clearly in.The vent needs to be insulated to be effective, otherwise you’re getting a lot of heat back in the room.

This is a tough review for me. I thought I ordered the AmazonBasics version of an AC unit, but was shipped a different brand. The customer service on this purchase was absolutely amazing, fantastic and every other positive word you can put in here. We rectified the problem, but I ended up keeping the other unit. This unit has been incredible. So happy that everything worked out for both parties.

My portable air conditioner is loud I don't know that is the same for everyone. Heating is not the best but it work.

I sent my unit back because it kept tripping off my circuit breakers, it didn't cool the room at all, and there is no way to point the cooled air other than up. The manual says it's only for outside air below 95 degrees, and there's over 100 days of 100+ degree heat at my location. I was trying it in a 95 degree room with the outside air at 110. Sorry Amazon, this is why people buy ACs, we NEED them. I wish they had put this in the description, rather than make me buy the unit to find this in fine print in the manual.

I can’t really tell how good it is because it keeps tripping the circuit in my house. Either it’s too powerful even though it says 115 or 128, or it’s defective.

So I bought 3 of these as an affordable, portable alternative to installing mini splits. Installation was RIDICULOUSLY easy! And they look great!Set-up and operation is easy. I like the remote. It's a lot easier than using the controls on the unit.No for the "but." I'm finding that the temperature control in auto mode is finicky. There doesn't seem to be a smooth transition from ac to heat. Some times I think it stays cool in auto. I've also found that the seasons on the back aren't effectively secured. I don't use continuous drain. These units don't have screw caps covering the drains. They have attached rubber plugs. These plus have a tendency to pop out; allowing water to leak into the floor. (I used duct tape to secure mine.)One of the units arrived damaged, but still functional. So I didn't go through the hassle of a return.I still recommend these units overall. I've had portable ac only units that weren't nearly as good as these.
