Price: $69.95 is a bit high in my opinion. $55 would have been a fair price Size: I like the clip of this vs. the Clip 2 much better. Portability is still amazing. Perfect for most situations! Sound Quality: For the size it's as good as it gets. We tended to use our older Clip 2 in a small group at lower volume, i.e. campfires, the beach, on the patio, in the hot tub. So far the Clip 4 seems like a huge upgrade in the low end over the Clip 2. It's more about the portability and great battery life on these speakers but I've been impressed with how good these sound. Bluetooth & Controls: The Clip 2 was awful in both of these categories and is the primary reason I decided to upgrade. Now when we're near the water I don't have to take out my phone to pause the music or skip a song. Also make sure to start buying devices with bluetooth 5 on them. This one has it and there's no lag when playing videos, devices are easy to connect and the range is best I've noticed on any bluetooth device. Amazing if you're upgrading from a Clip 2!

The media could not be loaded. Update for battery life: I have not used it for more than 3-4 hours at a time so I can’t say anything about the 10 hour claimed battery life. What I can say it has lasted several 6-8 hour combined uses and the power light was still solid so it’s possible to last longer before charging. I also have only had the volume at 50% while listening. I own 2 Altec Lansing H2O ( for stereo sound), Clarion (FM, TF Card) and ION Clip. Even with the Clarion at 8W and stereo Altec Lansing, the JBL knocks rings around both in sound clarity, bass and volume. The ION Clip is more compact but definitely is no match for the JBL 4. The clip can double as a handle and the raised controls are easy to use. Pairing with my iPhone XR was quick and smooth and auto connects easily to my phone when powered on. I played a movie and there was no lag with the voices. The price could be at least $10 less but using an Amazon gift card reduced the cost. I purchased the black because the gray that I really wanted was $10 more. I decided to also purchase a silicone cover that has built-in “feet” that acts as a stand (see photo). Since I just received the speaker, I can’t review the battery life yet. If I can, i will edit the review. As for Bluetooth distance, it is better than expected. I tested it from 2 rooms away with several walls blocking the connection (approximately 60 feet away) and there was no hesitation with the connection. The music played smoothly. So far, I am happy the JBL 4 and hope the battery life will be equally as impressive. This will be my new travel and beach speaker for sure.

Got dang this is ugly. But it does sound and work great, if you don't mind the look. To JBL: Nobody wants your logo on their stuff!

This little thing bumps! I had a big block portable speaker before and got tired of lugging it around when I went skating. Now I can just clip this onto my backpack and all my friends can hear the music even when I’m kinda far away from them. The only thing I don’t like is that when the speaker is at its highest volume and I press the volume up button just to make sure it’s at the highest level the music will cut out for a second. Kind of a weird feature but everything else about this speaker is 5 stars.

I noticed quickly that this speaker has been upgraded to the USB-C charger which is a great improvement from the JBL Go 2. The overall body is very sturdy, making you feel more comfortable taking it along where ever. The clip is wide and would fit on most anything. It feels a lot more durable than my JBL Go 2. I love the blue color, it just looks Zen. I thought the sound quality in my Go 2 was good but this Clip 4 blows it out of the water. The higher price tag made me question the purchase, especially with the Go 3 costing less but it is well worth it. Not only does it get super loud, the bass hits great. The ranges are on point and the overall sound is amazing for such a small speaker. My Go 2 stays at home as it doesn’t have as sturdy of a feel to it but this Clip 4 will go everywhere with me. If you are looking to upgrade from the Go 2, this is definitely the way to go. I debated between the Go 3 and Clip 4 but in the end I decided to spend the extra money. I would love to compare the Go 3 and Clip 4 but it isn’t in the budget. I can say with certainty, you won’t be disappointed in the Clip 4. Update 4/16: I still love this speaker, it’s a favorite. I did purchase a JBL Go 3 to compare. I had to know if the price difference was worth it. Had I gotten the Go 3 first, I probably wouldn’t have ever gotten the Clip 4. I say this because the Go 3 has a very good sound. It’s definitely an upgrade from the Go 2. It’s much more crisp. However, I’m glad I did purchase the Clip 4 first. The sound quality is on par with the Go 3 but the bass is overall better in the Clip 4. Both are great speakers but I will choose the Clip 4 over the Go 3 any day.

I researched shower speakers for weeks before picking these. Perfect waterproof, easy to use speaker. It was recommended by everyone within the medium price range. I'm not an audiophile, but I read several reviews written by audiophiles before picking this one. The sound is great to me, but admittedly, I don't have the ear to tell otherwise. The battery is crazy long lasting. I rarely have to charge it. I would estimate that I use it for about an hour a week and have charged it twice since I bought it (months ago). And not because it died. Just because I was like "hey, maybe I should charge this thing?" Bluetooth is super easy to set up and connect in day to day use. Buttons are easy to use in the shower. The sound quality and volume are so good, I use it anywhere I want to play music or podcasts now. I'm sold on the brand now. The clip is also super convenient. I'm so glad I bought this.
