I was a lil skeptical at first because my boyfriend has a JBL flip 4 and we use it often on bike rides and basically anywhere we are, we love music so quality is a MUST! So when the Flip stopped working I had to look for another source but couldn't afford another Flip 4 much less the upgraded version. I saw the JBL clip's upgraded version and saved itto possibly find a better on. But compared to the over 2000 reviews almost at 4-5 stars there was none In the same price range. I'm so happy with my purchase & didn't go with anything cheaper! It is not a Flip4 but dammed near the same quality! This Lil guy packs a punch that doesn't distort my music and loud enough for bike rides that the both of us can hear it even with distance between us & the convenience of the clip on is so much easier to ride with! I want another one!

I wasn’t expecting much from this little speaker, but I was surprised by how loud it was and the great sound for its size. The small speaker I was using in my shower sounded horrible so that’s why I decided to give this a try. Sounds great. I also love that you can skip tracks with it without having to use phone. Just double clip the play button.

I found out about JBL speakers from some roommates when I lived in Oakland, California. They had this large, portable device about the size of a small handheld drum. It BLASTED their tunes! Excellent sound quality! They’d take it with them as they’d walk around or play it as they worked. I asked them what kind of speaker it is (because it sounded so good and could get so loud for such a small speaker) and they said it was a JBL. I decided to try one out - but on a smaller scale. I looked and found this clip version. Perfect for clipping onto your backpack as you ride bike and for playing tunes- wherever you are and around the house. So clever!!! And such great sound for such a little thing! I got a call that my Grandmother had fallen and broken a hip in Minnesota, so I flew down there to help out as she healed up. At the time, I tried out your clip 3. It was the latest that was out. Magnificent! I’d take my 92 year old Grandmother out for walks in her wheelchair (as she healed up) and I’d let her pick out what music she wanted to jam to on the walk and she’d get so excited! I’d clip the clip 3 on my backpack as we walked along and she would sing along to the music she picked out and wave to all the neighbors as we went by. It was so much fun!!!! We Have your company to thank for that! (Thank you!) She healed up and is feeling good now. 😊😊😊 I’d also bring the clip outside when I’d visit my Pup, Cats and pet chickens (who are family members) and I’d play music for the little ones in the yard as I did chores around the place. They loved it too! So did I! My pet Chickens really love Punk Rock Music and Mantras from India. ♥️♥️♥️ Low and behold, the clip 4 came out. This time I got it in pink (the clip 3 was a beauuutiful teal color). Love it!!! It’s a tad bit smaller than the clip 3 and boy does it pack a punch!!! You can really blast the tunes with that little thing!!! Even more so than the 3- which is amazing! Reminds me a bit of those petite singers that are five foot two and little and then they go on stage and belt it out and they blow you away with the volume and range of their singing. The JBL clips has a VOICE! I tell ya! I suggest JBL speakers of ALL KINDS to anyone looking for a great speaker. The protective cases you can get on the side for under ten dollars are very recommended. It’s a hard shell and it really protects your speakers when not in use. I’m saving up for one of those drum sized JBL speakers that you can carry with you. If you have a car and by chance your speakers don’t work- these will do the trick too! Just multiple uses. Such excellent speakers across the board no matter what style. Thank you for making them in pretty colors like pink and teal and red too! Recommended to all! These little speakers have brought so much joy to me and my family - human family and fur and feather family. It was really healing for my Grandma to go on walks with these speakers. She got really sad and depressed during the healing process. Sometimes she would cry because… it just sucks to not feel good. After I got that clip speaker and she she could pick out music for her walks, she was smiling ear to ear and waving at everyone as we went by and singing along to songs. She looked forward to the walk every day and still mentions them. I should bust out the clip 4 and take her on some more walks when I visit Minnesota again and when it’s not 30 below zero! Anyways- thank you for that. Your speakers ROCK! Much love!

Wow. Didn’t expect this. I’ve numerous BT speakers, all have their strengths and weaknesses. This is a short review, so to sum up: JBL did a nice job with this. Of course, no speaker this small will give you 20-20k, but this is the best of the small units that gives you good compromise: has good bass, lower-mids a bit muddy, but really shines in the upper-mids and especially vocal definition. First tune I played was Diana Krall, live in Paris. The quartet sounded fine, nice detail on the guitar solo, drums and bass nice, but when Diana starts singing I had to sit up: sounded live in my room! Your mileage may vary, but this one’s a keeper. And to the reviewer that stated “why do they have to put JBL on the speaker?!”, hey that’s called BRANDING and it’s on every product, from cookies to cars, that you buy. The letters on the speaker don’t distract from the sound, it only classes it up! Great little speaker, and I think it’s cool-looking!

Previously had the Clip 2 for a few years until battery stopped charging. Used it primarily on the golf course for an entire 4-5h round with no issues probably 20-30 times a year for 3 years. Decent longevity. Sound quality was pretty good. Bought a Clip 3 for my cousin a year ago, sound didnt seem to differ, bass was a little weak IMO. He's still using his, also on the golf course. Replaced my Clip 2 with this Clip 4 and in every way it has been far superior! The bass and dynamic sound is very noticeable, even compared with the Clip 3. Music is just very rich, and pretty comparable to Bose portables. The clip on this Clip 4 is bigger and easier to clip onto whatever you might need - I clip it often to the cart handles that are mounted to the golf cart roof - I could not do that with either the Clip 2 or 3. Its weightier and feels more solid than previous versions as well. Glad i didnt cheap out and go with the Clip 3. Extremely happy with my Clip 4!

I bought this to replace a cheap knockoff. I bought the Camo model. I held out for the price drop to $59.99. I should just bought at original price. It is that good. First plus is the sound. I use it as a shower radio and patio speaker. The bass sound is fabulous and crisp, clear audio. Second plus is the Bluetooth Range. It works fine with no skips from about 20 feet away. The biggest plus is the upgrade of the battery life. I bought it 2 months ago and gave it a full charge. I still haven’t had to charge it again as of yet. My old knockoff needed a charge every other week. One suggestion I would make for the next generation is a battery button. Press the button and 4 beeps, full charge, 3 beeps 3/4 charge, 2 beeps half charge and so on. I am in the process of rebuilding a bass boat and I see a lot of people doing the same and installing permanent waterproof speakers. I would rather bring a JBL Clip and update as the technology improves. This product is that good.

FOR ITS SIZE, the bass is very impressive. It’s not going to rattle any windows, but the bass coming out of this thing is a lot better than I expected, I was expecting it to be tinny like most small speakers. I am pleasantly surprised, I highly recommend this speaker if you want decent bass AND your primary desire is to have a pocketable speaker, if you don’t care about it fitting in your pocket and want a lot of bass, get something else.

I bought this speaker to use in the shower because I recently moved and my new bathroom has a glass shower door which means I can't hear anything from a speaker if it's outside of the shower. So far it's been exactly what I needed. I love that you can hang it or clip it to things. I used a suction cup hook to hang it lower to the floor (to prevent an injury in case it falls). The sound is still great, even from below. The battery has a long life, too. I've had it for about two months and only had to charge it once so far. And yes, it is waterproof!

I'm e JBLfan. I have a blue JBL Charge3 that spends most of its time in the garage and has been spending time in the bathroom too. I was thinking of adding a shelf and getting a second one for the bathroom when I saw this. I knew it wouldn't be as full sounding but it's in the bathroom and used mostly for listening to the morning talk show while getting ready for work. I'm quite happy with the flexibility, volume and clarity. This was a great choice and feels like another quality product from JBL.
