Lid is difficult to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of weeks ago and it’s the perfect size for making my dogs food. The lid is extremely difficult to get into place. It sticks and you have to work with it to get it in the right place.

Good size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the size . But the lid is too difficult to take apart to clean.

Flimsy plastic

I love this little workhorse, I've used it to chop onions, garlic, tomatoes, herbs. I use it daily until one day the lid accidentally fell and the two pieces separated. I tried to put them back together without any luck. I find the plastic bowl and lid to be rather flimsy. I wished that it could have been made with better quality plastic and could withstand little kitchen mishaps like dropping it without it chipping or breaking right off. Kitchen Aid, I love your products, can you please make the bowls and lids more durable? I miss my little chopper.

Requires Finesse to Operate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Snapping the blending bowl and lid are cumbersome and require a bit of finesse to get on. Just not as smooth as I would have thought for a chopper of this price.

Works well

This works well. Has more capacity than the one I replaced - which is good. Can make hummus easily. However, I would not buy it again because it's plastic. We are filling our bodies with micro plastic particles and it may eventually lead to significant health issues. Tiny particles are in everything. Almost impossible to avoid it, but I will do everything I can to avoid it as much as I can for me and my family.

Limited

I have had the 4 cup, now vintage, Cuisinart food processor and was hoping this would be a decent replacement. The problem is this: if you want to chop up small stuff like garlic you need to be able to drop it into the processor as the blades are turning. I tried processing sliced pickles and they slid around the outside edges of the basket while the blades spun and barely chopped anything—I had to rearrange them to get it to chop them up. I think it is disappointing this one does not come with the utensils my older one has, the slicing, grating feature and juicing option. The size is limited, I missed that extra size which was perfect for mixing up tuna salad. I did like the design of this but it felt like a toy compare to the one I bought in the 80’s. I returned this one.

Does great chopping

Great at chopping, but cleanup is a pain -- particularly to lid. There are two hinged elements. Can't seem to unhinge them, so cleaning and drying between them in painful to say the least.
