With limited testing, the food chopper seems to work as described. However, I am not certain this is a new item. Removal from the box revealed the chopper was haphazardly wrapped, no instructions were included in the box and the barcode was cut and removed from the bottom of the box. :-(

I was really excited to have found this food processor, but have been disappointed with it. I used the whisking disk to mix some instant pudding and the pudding went below this disk, filled up the inside of the black cylinder that holds the disk, then went down the hollow center piece of the bowl and collected around the center shaft on the motor itself. It was a MESS! And so incredibly difficult to clean up into the black cylinder, inside the hollow center piece, etc. And there was only about 1 1/2 cups of pudding in the container, so it is not like it should have been overflowing. It was very disappointing since I had such high hopes for this processor. Also, if for any reason, you take the container off (with the blade/whisk attachment still in place) and then decide you want to attach it back to the motor to mix again, it is virtually impossible to line it up again so you can get it back on the base.

For whatever reason no matter how many times I lock, re-lock, and double check how old is connected it never starts. It’s always a game of roulette I lose 95% of the time. It would be a great but if it didn’t inspire so many moments where I’m about to throw it out my window

This replaced my very old Kitchen-Aid Little Ultra Pro which I can't get parts for anymore (blade in particular). So this little guy worked great!! I have had it since April. However, it warps in the dishwasher. Most noticeably the center stem warped in this last washing. I use it about 3 times a month.

This would be perfect if only it also had a slicing/shredding blade. I have a 30 year old processor (different brand) that has a 4 qt bowl with a slicing/shredding blade, a chopping blade and a mixing paddle. The lid is cracked but I make do because I cannot find a replacement for it. I do not want, need, nor do I have room for a larger one. I was so hoping this 5 quart would have the slicing/shredding blade because I would have bought it instantly.

We loved our five-cup chopper, but after one year our bowl got knocked to the floor and smashed and now I have to replace the entire appliance because Kitchenaid doesn't sell replacement bowls? That's wasteful, and only encourages me to look for a replacement chopper made by some other company that does sell replacement bowls. Disappointed on various levels.

I tossed mine yesterday. It couldn't blend oats, ground flaxseed, dates (softened in hot water) and chopped carrots, even after I added some liquid. The unit eventually started smoking and that was the last straw for me. It worked well for hummus, pumpkin oatmeal pancakes and other very moist soft recipes. I'll be investing in a much more powerful unit. Should've saved my $70 and bought the real deal.

While the chopper works great, it generally takes me and my husband 20 minutes to figure out how to get it just right on the unit and snapped in place to get the chopper in motion. It usually ends up with us each swearing and fiddling with it to try different angles, positions for the unit, the top, etc. When it finally snaps in and chops, we are so frustrated and close to throwing it in the recycle bin.

We love the product but we are not happy with the red one that was delivered. We have a blue sky mixer and ordered this to match. Very disappointed and this is t the first time we have ordered one color and received something else.
