The belt itself looks great. The idea behind the belt is great but the execution is, unfortunately, faulty. The latch that releases the belt works great as long as it's not actually being worn. When it is being worn or if you are pulling on the belt when it is engaged to simulate it being worn, you cannot use the latch to save your life. I had to get out of my pants by shimmying out of then on the 3 occasions I gave this belt a chance. I had already bought 2 of these belts (one black and 1 brown) so I figured I would try the other one. Same results. Even now as I type, I want to like this belt but because it's wholly unusable, I can't.

Holy Moly! OK, the belt itself looks nice and the features are what I want in a dress belt... BUT, I practically gagged when I opened the box!!! MOULD smell slapped me in the face! =:-0 I treated it with Ozone to erase the odorants, to no effect. Wiped it with Dawn and rinsed and dried it immediately afterwards. STILL smells like mould :-( Don't know what else to do. I don't want to go to a formal occasion smelling like my clothes were stored inside a rain bucket for a year... BTW, the product was properly packaged, including a desiccant package and sealed in shrink wrap... It shouldn't smell this way. Leather smell? Yes. Mould smell? Just say NO!

Not a leather. Cracks started to show after few months of wear, fell apart within a year. Once you start seeing cracks, you can tell it’s made of some cheap soft plastic trying to imitate leather.

Leather seems to be good quality. However, the buckle itself is poorly crafted. The release latch arrived broken. I was able to fix it myself. Still a pain to release.

Great idea. Blows in real life. I put this on twice 1st time: could not get it to "release" like the instructions (that I have to use a magnifying glass to read) says it would. At home, so dropped my pants to floor 2nd time Today, trying on my new suit (which is why I got this belt) and could NOT get it off. I was at the point of cutting it off with scissors. tried and tried and the latch would not move to "release" the "ratchet" mechanism. Finally used a flat screw driver and physical force and STILL could not move the mechanism Did get loose enough so I dropped my pants to the floor. Then it fell apart. I got all the pieces. Tried my best with needle nose pliers, small jeweler screw drives, everything small I use in dealing with electronics. Could NOT put it back together, no matter how I bent the hasp up, down, checked the ears to be sure they were parallel to each other and 90 degrees to the plane of the buckle. NOTHING What a waste, and I needed it for Tuesday Now gotta go to Wally World and get a belt, that no matter what, the holes are not exactly where I need them, so it's either too loose or too tight And that's why I wanted this in the first place RETURNING for FULL REFUND and will never "trust" this mechanism again. Maybe you people that are 5'9" and weigh 160 pound wet it works, but this was for us normal sized people.

It looks nice. It's easy to adjust...but you have to adjust the tension over and over all day long. Would not buy another.

The buckle is nice but the belt itself is so flimsy and cheap.

This is the 3rd or 4 th ratcheting belt I own but this one has a faulty release. Just cheaply made $15 garbage.

Beyond frustrated. I have been sent the wrong size twice now. Each time means a 30 minute wasted trip to the UPS store to return it. How hard can it be to send the right item. Looks like a good product but whoever is shipping needs training.
