The concept of this belt is great but the quality has been substantially been reduced. Originally it looked like the picture with a square edges. I ordered the same product I ordered a year ago and the new one is tapered and about 40% thinner. I wrote to them explain this but never heard back from them hoping that it was a shipping error but never heard back from them after 5 days.

The leather and buckle are seemingly of good quality, but the reviews I read did not mention something of significance. The buckle is large and heavy enough that when worn the buckle will tilt forward and downward because of its weight; that makes it unattractive because what you or others see is too much of the top of the buckle behind the front, rather than the actual front. The manufacturer should redesign the buckle by making it lighter and thinner.

I've had this belt for about 2 months. When I recieved it I cut it to length like instructed. Not too long after starting to wear it I noticed little strands coming off that would run down the length of the belt when you tried to peel them off. My black leather belt does not do this. I would not buy this again.

Just received belt. This is not leather as advertised. It's pleather plastic rubber or something other than leather. The brown looks and feels cheap like any fake leather belt you would pay 8 bucks for at a chain store. But I do like the ratchet system and the buckle is nice. I will wear this belt just to beat around on weekends and continue my search for a nice REAL leather ratchet belt to wear with nicer clothes.

The leather feels slightly cheap which gives the impression that it won't last a long time and the buckle is hard to take off or to adjust. Once in place it does its job nicely BUT, I had to fiddle with it a for a while before it finally released its hold. I would give this a better rating if they come up with a better way to undo the buckle. The texture on both buckle and belt is nice though.

Not sure why I even bought this belt as it came up under tactical belts for personal carry this is definitely not the belt you would want to use to even try to personal carry as it's too thin and soft but as a dress belt it is very nice.

Very hard to release once you get the belt on

I have had this belt for 2 weeks now and it is already showing signs of damage. The buckle is starting to wear the finish off and the belt itself is wearing down.

I purchased another one of these 2 years ago and thought this was same type. It is not! instead of lifting the buckle, there is a very small lever under the buckle in a difficult spot that you press. It is far more difficult to unbuckle this way and the lever gets stuck and you end up looking like you are playing with yourself trying to get the belt off. Poor design!!
