First, it's worth mentioning the Gonicc customer service. I have a pair that I bought almost 3 years ago, and had some problems. I inquired with Gonicc about possible fixes, and they simply sent a new pair. Fantastic. Now a review, some issues, and some fixes. These are capable, nice shears. I'm not sure if the titanium coating does anything, but they are easily sharpened, as the blade comes off, and have a nice feel. Overall, I would say they work better for people with larger hands. This is particularly true if you leave the foam pads on the handles. I finally figured out that they work better for me if I remove the foam pads, which are likely to disintegrate at some point anyway. The locking latch is a bit problematic. I think it should be metal instead of plastic, as the plastic has some flex, and makes it harder to latch than necessary. Also, I found the direction that the the latch needs to go somewhat backwards, but that may be because I'm used to other shears. I was having difficulty getting it to work at all, but finally fixed it by putting some thread lock on the screw that holds the latch to the shears body. One other pro tip. If you find the shears are not cutting very well, even if the blade is sharp, try adjusting them so that the blade is tighter to the body. That made a huge difference for me.

I've had lots of pruners and so far, these are the best. Very sharp and easy to grip. We'll see how they hold up to rust.

I'm extremely hard on pruners. Bought a few of these and they have held up well for moderate use. The blades in the one pair are a bit warped after being abused but still cut well. The ergonomics and padding are what helped me to damage the blades, the handle doesn't cut into your hand when you're trying to snap a 1" branch :) These aren't commercial equipment and I'm sure there's some bad runs from the factory out there, but these are great for the price. Just buy a few more .
