I'd never heard of thermal fans before I purchased this one and wasn't sure it would work on the boxy natural gas stove in my apartment (which has a fan that only blows heat into the living room, so the bedroom is usually a bit cold, even though it is only 5 feet from the heater). I didn't want to spend a lot since it was basically an experiment to see if it would even work, but it DOES spin and sends a bit of heat, but I truly should have got a larger size. It makes no sound, which is good.

Nice to have for a bad situation!

Great to have over our wood stove however it rattles very loudly from time to time and can be a little annoying.

temperature has to be at set point prior to it turning on and whatever the temperature is will be what the fan circulates, note it does not heat the air.

The first one I received was broken and extremely wobbly. I sent it back and they sent another one within the week. It is still cheaply made but what can you expect at the price. Would suggest to someone else with a warning if cheapness.

You have to go up really close to feel any air moving. It definitely works though but you probably need two.
