I’m a pretty fit guy and have tried several of the mini bike options and this is one has by far the best resistance levels on the harder end.If you want decent cardio while watching TV or playing video games, this is the one.

I’ve been using this for a couple months now and all functions work good. The product is very sturdy and doesn’t move or make funny noise while using it. Tension control works very well too. Easy to assemble and use.

Peddling is very smooth, many different strength levels.

I am a 75 years young woman who now finds the DeskCycle2 to be my favorite way to exercise at home. I use it for 1 to 1 1/2 hours a day and burn about 500 calories while streaming my favorite TV series and I already feel better! My cardiologist is also very happy that I have found a method of exercise I can stick to. I also extend my workout by using 2 lb. weights to exercise my arms and upper body while using the DeskCycle2. It arrived quickly and was very easy for me to assemble. It has quality construction and is whisper quiet while in operation.I highly recommend the DeskCycle2 to anyone, but especially to those who find it difficult to get outside. find it unsafe to climb on and off an exercise bike or find a bike seat to be uncomfortable.I have heard that "sitting" is considered to be the new "smoking"...so if you find that you are sitting a lot, do yourself a big health favor and get this piece of exercise equipment!

This arrived promptly. Easy to assemble. Strong, sturdy and well made. Directions super easy. LOVE it -- I can now watch television, which I would anyway but now I can burn some calories! Highly recommend.

I hesitate to do Amazon reviews anymore due to problems with the company ethics, however this device is brilliant and it could make real differences in the quality of folks lives, so I'm taking the time. Not everyone will take to it like I have, but it has made a huge difference for me! I have a very nice treadmill down in the basement, but the impacts on the knee joints were a problem. I was looking at getting a recumbent stationary bike when I happened across this gem.Long story short in the couple of months that I've had it, I have to consciously choose _not_ to use it at least one day a week.I'm a software engineer and scrum master. I work from home. I spend a _lot_ of hours on the phone running meetings and participating in meetings. I can pedal this thing at 10-14mpg without making _any_ noise whatsoever. I don't even have to mute the phone, there just isn't any noise to mute. With the treadmill I would force myself to keep walking for as long as I could (persevering through the boredom of watching TV while I walked - TV is not my thing) until I did my 200-300 calories of exercise. That's when I could take the time to do it and I felt like spending some of my time on it.With the DeskCycle, I find it's just like pacing the hall - it helps you think and I just do it without thinking. I now typically pedal 25 to 40 miles per day every day without even thinking about it (and that's with resistance on 6, which means I'm burning 600 to 1,000 additional calories every day. It's not full-on aerobic, I'm not getting winded or the benefits of that, but I get huge benefits in that I feel so much better at the end of a long day, and it has greatly strengthened and toned my lower back muscles. It also put some vague vestige of stomach muscles on me.The cons: The biggest one is wear and tear on your office chair. I have a Freedom chair, which is a pretty piece of hardware, and I'm a big guy of 240 pounds. The chair is being used like the seat on a recumbent bike, which are built a lot sturdier. I have to use silicone lube on the chair now and then because the parts are constantly shifting/rubbing as I'm peddling. You also need to throw a towel over your chair if you're going to pedal hard. Office chairs aren't designed to be sweated in/on.I'm using it under an Ergotron sit-stand desk with the Ergotron keyboard tray on it, and the geometry is good. I can comfortably type while I'm working, while I'm talking on the phone and while I'm surfing the web, but I do have short legs for my height (5'11" with ~31" inseam)Two minor cons: First, the display should be backlit, it's very difficult to read under many conditions, and second, the metal bracket for mounting the display on the unit shouldn't be welded on. The unit becomes a natural footrest when not in use, and that hard metal bit sticking up gets in the way. If it were bolted on and they offered an optional flip-up padded footstool top that could be bolted on in place of it, that would be a helpful feature.Build quality is excellent, no problems with pedals *however* I think I may know how people screw that up. I liked mine so much we ordered one for my wife. She tried to put it together but couldn't get the pedals to go on/make any sense. She's worse than me when it comes to not reading instructions. It took me a while but I finally realized she had mounted the legs backwards - the long leg the rear and short leg on the front. This completely changes what you think of as front/rear and left/right and the pedal installation instructions just don't make any sense until the legs are put in the proper place.I don't award 5 stars often/lightly but this one is a five star product, it greatly exceeds my expectations. If I ever wear this one out, I'll be back for another. I'm probably going to buy a third one to keep in my "real" office at work because I get antsy now if I can't pedal while I'm working.

Since 'they' say sitting is the new smoking, I wanted to be doing something while sitting in front of my computer all day. I was planning on getting a less expensive model, but after doing a lot of research, this specific under desk bike kept coming up as one of the top models. Boy am I glad I decided to purchase this! Here are some of my concerns I had prior to purchasing.1. I saw a few reviews about assembly. I was worried about it being too difficult. It was not at all! I did it myself in under 15 minutes. The directions were great! Not only pictures, but actual words of how to assemble it (other things I have put together only have pics and it drives me crazy!). You basically just screw everything in with the tool they give you. Easy peasy! See my first pic for the pieces it comes with.2. I was worried that my knees would hit my desktop. They do not. However, I do not have a center drawer or lower keyboard shelf. Your knees might hit if you do. See the 2nd pic of it sitting under my desk.3. I have wood floors and was worried my rolling desk chair would, well roll, when I was biking. Yeah, it kind of does. A strap comes in the box so you can wrap it around the chair and the bike to stabilize it. I did not use this strap because I wanted to be able to move my chair when needed. I found that I can put one of the chair wheels in front of the back part of the bike and this does the trick! See my 4th photo - I circled the chair leg.Other things I like1. The 'monitor' can be unattached from the bike. I have it hooked up and sitting on top of my desk, so I can see it. Much better! I'm not sure how accurate it is - I don't think I am really traveling that many miles - but its good for me to see anyway.2. It is QUIET!!! I did not expect it to be this quiet! I can even use it during work phone calls without anyone knowing.3. The resistance dial really works! You can feel it and so do my legs.....4. The "ride" is very smooth. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't use the foot straps (and there are directions on how to take them off if you want) but I just put my feet on top of them. No problems with my feet slipping off the pedals.I am very happy with this purchase! Now I hope that it shows in my health!!

Difficult to place the peddles on. It took about an hour to properly install the peddles. The rest was simple. Read the directions closely concerning the peddles. My wife had a knee replacement surgery. She really likes the size and gets good results. It takes up very little space and is easy to use.
