Love these. Bought the 10’ strand. Have a little lean-to building (8’ long x 6’ tall x 40” deep ) at camp and this thing lights it up well. Strung across the back wall looping down from the ceiling. I did get the dimmer switch so I can adjust the brightness and/or shut it off without unhooking from the battery. I use my Anker battery with it and it would probably run for a week straight, maybe longer. Very little power draw on the battery. Would recommend for sure. Also recommend the switch. Not sure on their batteries but Anker is my go to for batteries. So far I’ve used these lights down to about freezing and they work fine. No issues. The ties and magnets seem legit but I just used some eye bolts and let it dangle and it’s good enough for me. The bag it comes in is a bit small but I tried the lantern use with the bag and that seemed good too. I prefer the strand lighting for my purposes tho. I will probably by a couple more of these in the future. If you have power where you plan to use then just get a USB plug adapter and you’re good to go. UPDATE: 11-1-19 Bought another 10 footer and another dimmer switch to use in the pop up camper. I seriously love these lights. I have not had any of the issues I’ve read in other reviews about excessive power drain or flickering or humming. Quite the opposite really. With an Anker Battery... idk how long it would run because I haven’t tried it. But I use these as soon as it starts getting dark and after a full weekend of camping I don’t think it uses 1 bar of my battery. Maybe if it’s super cold.. but these are solid and I still highly recommend you get one and a dimmer switch. Worth it.

This is a very cool, power-sipping, weather proof string of LEDs. it can represent all the colors that can be achieved by mixing R G B light. There are many modes and speeds. Indoor or outdoor, it's powered by USB. I've had various power banks run it overnight and longer. Their 4400 mA power bank went over 24 hours. It comes w/ a remote and also the rope has duplicate controls built in. It's well thought out and has a variety of ways to mount it.

This thing is really well designed. Looking at all the details, I find myself pretty impressed with the thought that went into everything. You've got sliding magnets, reusable ties, a reversible USB plug, a neat case that doubles as a lantern, good quality materials that feel like they'd be easy to clean but difficult to accidentally damage... Even the color of the light emitted is interesting - it's somewhere between the usual "warm" and "cool" lights, so it works well in most situations. It puts out a surprising amount of light as well, but it's not blinding. I can't think of anything I'd change about this. It might be nice if it could be extended with another strand, but then there'd be another connection point with a dust cap or something; I think they made the right decision by just fixing this at a single length. Perhaps a future version could use an accelerometer-based "gesture" dimmer (plug it in, it comes on full brighteness, then you've got a couple of seconds to rotate the free end like a motorcycle control to dim/brighten?)... That'd increase cost as well - so I'm standing by my feeling that this is perfect as-is at the pricepoint it's at. I'll be ordering another one (probably the longer one) for sure.

I love these lights!!! I have 4 each 10 footers and 2 each 5 footers. I take them when we travel and use black Velcro One Wrap to secure them to the balconies of hotel rooms or whatever is gonna give us the best vibe. ****To the person that asked if you could join 2 5 footers: I put the plugs from my 10 footers in the center and used the battery from each to give the appearance of a 20 footer. Using 1 remote gets the colors changing in sync. Hope this helps.

I set this to the yellow color and it makes my pack glow while cycling to my work. I can remove it at any time for other uses, but it mostly stays here and keeps me safe when riding alongside commuters, especially during the dimly lit hours just before and after work. I keep lights on the bike as well, but this gives me tons of added visibility and security.

The ways one can use a Luminoodle is pretty awesome! We have one of these around the back of our TV for backlighting and love it so much we though it would be great to try one for our recent camping trip and it worked out perfectly! We stretched the Luminoodle from one end of the tent to the other (it's a 14 ft. tent) using the straps that are supplied with it. We then tucked a portable battery pack into the strap on the tent and plugged it in there. It was a great amount of light. Bright enough that we weren't squinting and wishing we had another one and yet not too bright that it was overkill for the situation. No more hanging lanterns or fumbling around with flashlights to see what you're doing.

I cant count how many string light type things I have tried over the years and was always left unhappy. So far, the noodles are my favorite. They remain pliable and that is a huge deal in winter. The light will always point down…another huge deal. Too many lights are either one sided or they simple wont direct the light down at the ground. These do everything I want them to do. I love how I can hook them to my battery bank and also dim them. So far, so good. It was a worthy purchase.

Definitely a neat little design with a bag and all the attachments like the magnetic bands definitely very versatile the first few times you use it it tends to want to roll up because that's how they ship it but it is definitely bright it would be nice if it had a dimmable feature like a button to change the brightness but for 15 bucks for the 5 ft cord don't expect too much. I have used it in power outages and definitely nice to light up a good size room for a few hours on a decent battery source, the USB is flat and not sure of how the durability is going to be long term but so far works amazing.

I love this, I just wish I would have purchased the 10 FT. one. Just like with charger cables and things, the 5Ft always seems smaller in real life. I will probably pick up a 10 footer soon. Originally I thought I was a bit silly since you can buy things like this that plug into the wall all over the place, but this one is really high wuality, and is super bright, and plugs instead into USB powerbanks, so you can bring along a few, or one big one for camping. Everyone we camped with the few times ive used this thought it was awesome and asked where they can get one, I would rig it up with the built in magnets to the pop up canopy we have, and it would provide ample light for playing games and things at the camp table at night. Then I would stuff it in the bag and hang it from the roof of the tent until we crashed. Has a lot of cool uses, and like I said I will buy more.

Not sure if it's the ones I bought or the product itself but, the charge life to these lights do not last but a couple hours then they go out fast. I loved the compact size and usefulness of these lights - they put off a ton of light that is bright and perhaps this cause the short battery life. I have to typically recharge every day before using just 2-2.5 hours. But, great for having on a vehicle when car camping, inside a tent or around an RV. They honestly put off a bright light and allow for easy visibility outdoors and the bag is great too because you can stuff the lights inside it and you have a handy lantern to carry on a trail or to the potty in the middle of the night. I would suggest buying these for outdoor or even an emergency inside your home.
