It does the job

Physically installed modem. Used Xfinity app on phone to provision new modem. Search for "xfinity app activation" on Google for step-by-step instructions. Modem was provisioned and running in less than 5 minutes. I connected a wifi router and it worked immediately - I just had to configure the router for my specific settings.

The modem supports my 500/20 Mbps bandwidth from Spectrum. It will exceed 500 (go to about 580 if plugged directly into a PC - Arris states up to 900 downstream) but I have it going to a wi-fi router first so it stays between 350 and 450. It seems pretty good so far and can't get easier to install, only coaxial and Ethernet cables and the power cord, as a modem should be.

Ordered a new item but instead received a used modem. The item was clearly used. The original plastic wrapping with the security seal was torn. The item's box was taped with scotch tape.EDIT: so Amazon sent me a new replacement. I was relieved that I received a new item this time. Hooking up the modem was easy. In 5 minutes. Called spectrum to activate the new modem which took about 10 minutes. And everything working great! Finally taking advantage of my 800Mbps internet. Definitely a step up from replacing the outdated SB6121.

I had another Arris surfboard modem that I bought when I signed up with Spectrum back in 2016 when we first bought our house. Didn't really think anything of it until now, I was like wow, the modem is kind of old, 7 years plus. I pay for 300 Mbps, but on a direct to modem from wall test, I was always pulling in like 250 Mbps, no big deal. I had some intermittent slow downs or drops once in a great while, I never know if that is the modem or router or the ISP being slow? Who knows - but I was like, for $70, lets just get a newer modem. Man, this thing is great - I called spectrum and they activated it over the phone in 5 minutes. Now on my direct to modem speed tests, I am getting 350-375 Mbps!! Getting more than I actually pay for, and its much more stable per the jitter and continuous ping tests. So if you have any similar issues - grab a new modem! (Don't use the companies modems).

Worked well, and cost less than one month Comcast’s modem rental

I bought this to connect xFinity to my own router and it’s perfect! Does exactly what I need for this

Switched back to spectrum after having Google Fiber for almost two years and realizing that I was overpaying for the speeds that I was getting. Google advertises up to 1 gig but never saw higher then 500MBPS. Two days in to my spectrum service the modem took a dump and I had to go back to swap them out. Two months later it does it again. My Internet would repeatedly disconnect every couple minutes. Now with this new modem not only do I have steady connection I’m seeing speeds I’ve never seen before!

I bought this not to pay monthly fee for internet and it works properly!

Bought Modem and Google Nest Mesh Wifi. It's been a great combo so far. Really reliable and way better than the equipment provided by Spectrum.
