I've owned this unit for about ten months, here's what my experience has been. Background, this is my first robotic vacuum.. I only have hardwood floors so no comment on carpet cleaning. I don't have a big house. I empty the trash container and clean the brush after each usage. Cleaning; It cleans dust OK, when it picks it up and keeps it. I find clumps of dust all over my house after a cleaning. Having to clean up after the roboic cleaner defeats the purpose of cleaning with a robotic cleaner. Hair makes a mess of this unit. Hair gets caught in the brush and is extremely difficult to remove. You end up buying more brushes than you want as continually cleaning the brush of hair is time consuing and therefore defeats the purpose of using a robotic cleaner. The sweeping brush is poorly constructed and only lasts a few cleanings before it needs to be replaced as it's a mess and won't clean properly. I have to rearrange furniture before I use the cleaner. The robot isn't yet, "Smart". Several times I've found it in an unobstructed corner just spinning around before it stops and says it's obstructed. Add a corner table and it will stay in one spot for 5-6 minutes continually running into the wall or legs of the table. When it goes behind my sofa sometimes it's a five or six minute trip behind a six foot sofa. It runs into the sofa, then into the wall and continues to bang against both for way too long before it finds a way out. A table with chairs, I've given up on that working and I just put the chairs on the table out of the way. Overall I would describe my unit's cleaning ability as weak. The app with this unit could use some tweaking. The majority of time the app doesn't tell you if there is a problem. If you pick the unit up the app will tell you it's been picked up. Other times when the unit stops, or gets a cord caught in the sweeper or gets stuck in the corner my app doesn't indicate there is a problem. More than once I've had to wander around looking for my eufy without a clue where it is or why it isn't working. Emptying the unit of trash isn't difficult but cleaning the brushes, as I've stated earlier is difficult. The unit wipes down easily with a microfiber cloth. Changing out parts isn't difficult either. Approximately five times the unit has stopped cleaning within 1/2 hour of starting saying the battery needs charging even though it hasn't been used for a few days. It has probably happened more often but the app doesn't tell me the battery is weak or needed charging it just says it outloud and goes home. It has failed to dock itself twice. Now it's making some loud noise and I'm not sure what it is since I just cleaned it again and there is nothing impeading it's movement. I believe robotic vaccumns have great potential, but this model isn't one of those. I realize this isn't a top of the line model but it's performance is weak and it's ability to avoid furniture even thought it's cleaned after each usage is unacceptable. I've had enough of Eufy and will be looking for a different cleaner.

Robovacs have been cleaning my house for about 5 years, I am a big fan of their simple but sophistocated design, owner-replaceable parts and availability in their online store at REALLY fair prices. Kudos Eufy! But, I moved into a much larger house, and bought this more advanced mapping robot to ensure it thoroughly cleaned my main hardwood level. I love the mapping function, which works extremely well, and phone app to monitor square footage and where it has and has not cleaned. I love the fact that when the battery is low, it remembers the map it learned, recharges itself, and then returns to pickup where it left off, fantastic! Unfortunately, despite this otherwise being a phenomenal product, I am extremely unhappy that it does not clean my entire floor. The kitchen is once again covered in crumbs, along with my garage entryway. Why? Because Eufy engineers neutered this wonderful robot. If your floor is too large, after the second pass, it will forget everything and go to sleep for the day, ignoring areas it knows full well it skipped. Due to it's new methodical scan pattern, every day it ignores the same unfinished portion of my house, so the dirt piles up. This is RIDICULOUS, I'm an engineer, so I know full well that there is a single line of code in the robot that says something like "number_of_passes=2", defining this behaviour. If they would only change that to "number_of_passes=3", my floor would be cleaned, just like that. Or even better, put this control in the App. I have complained to customer support and made this suggestion, but 6 months later nothing is changed, despite the fact that they could fix this in 5 minutes. Is this incompetency? Is this stupidity? Or, is this some malicious attempt to hold full performance hostage, so they can sell it to us later in an "upgraded" product?! Who knows, but I'm very unhappy with what should otherwise be an excellent little robot. Anker, please get your act together on this.
