Really great for a good price!

I have three dogs and two cats.. this thing has been awesome helping me keep up with the pet hair! It’s fairly quiet which is great because I have it run every night after my daughter goes to bed. Only a couple minor complains: It doesn’t seem to remember the map and just kind of runs around and bumps into everything every single time it runs. I’ve used it for about a week and it never seems to be able to go back home.. just kind of keeps running around. I’ve had to pick it up and put it back home every time. It also sometimes seems to go over the same area over and over again before it moves on.. I don’t know what that’s about. But honestly, for the price I paid and how well it picks up the hair, I don’t mind any of those things. Maybe some day I can upgrade to a fancier one that empties itself, remembers the map, and maybe even mops too.. but for now, I’m extremely satisfied with this lil guy! Highly recommend!UPDATE: immediately after posting this review, it found its way to the charging port all on its own for the first time! It still seemed to forget the floor plan as it went way around and hit the column and then went directly under the table and bumped into the chairs a million times.. but it found it’s way home! Yay!

Good Customer Service

This is my second Eufy. The first finally gave out after about 5+ years, and I ordered another brand (based on ratings on Wirecutter, etc). It costs a bit more, but I thought, well, they have changed designs in the industry, so I will try something new. The machine WAS SO LOUD, I couldn't have a conversation on my phone while it was going (what?). So I returned that one.I decided to go with a 'classic' Eufy, since I had relied on it before.It does not have TWO spinning brushes, like the first one did (which I did like better) but it is quieter (not quiet...but reasonable). And it cleans well. They also make it easy to clean, pulling things apart and putting back together.However, I did not realize I had to use the APP to control it (before we had a remote). This is actually better, but I had no idea how to connect it all. Apparently there are good videos, but I just called Customer Service. Ariel helped me and it was really great! She was patient, while I figured out log in, and set it up. All is running now, and I am happy with this service.

A Few Flaws

Some reviews here note a G30 Edge. Mine is just G30. Not sure if that makes a difference.Friends who have an Eufy robovac said it was good for the price. I bought this for myself in Oct 2022. Connecting to WIFI was challenging but my husband figured it out. Tip: vacuum your floors before using the first time. Why? I used it as soon as it was set up, but it has a small dust/debris collector space. When done, I opened it, it was stuffed! I have all hardwood downstairs, grandchildren and a cat. After cookie making for the holidays my grandchildren & I made a mess. The floor had flour, sugar & crumbs scattered. I ran the vac and once it finished I found one entire side of the island that wasn't cleaned. That caused me to follow it on the next 2-3 cleanings. I took a lightweight cereal like Chex & crushed a few in each area. It will go over some spots multiple times and miss others. The miss would be a small section in an area. It is not so bad that I’m unhappy. Only disappointed. This will not replace an upright or canister vacuum. I do that about once a month.One day I noticed the Eufy was going slightly diagonal instead of straight. A few days later it couldn’t come off the charger. Turned it over and one wheel was locked up. I faithfully clean the unit regularly per their instructions. I called customer service, and they walked me through a few steps but didn’t fix it. They sent me a new wheel and a video on how to replace it. Do NOT use posted videos out there unless it is Eufy. The one they sent me was very good.Tip: buy a model that has two brushes. This has only one. I think it may work better. Overall it does a very good job for the price.

At this price point its very good.

So its been through its trials and tribulations for a month now inside the home. I dont have pets but i have four children and with four children come a lot of snacks which ultimately equate to crumbs. Let me be clear, this is not a replacement for your main vacuum cleaner nor should it ever be IMO. Ill outline the main takeaways below.1. This is a great tool to have around the house if your a clean freak like I am. You might think its not doing much cleaning but somehow that little bin always fills up every two days after scheduled cleaning. It has adequate suction, gets under your sofas, if the clearance is there, and gets the 'in-between' days of your major cleaning.2. Personally I run LVP all across the home but have some rugs that it likes to get over and it seems to struggle. So if your goals are to clean carpet with this thing i would reconsider but at this price point i dont think anything out there is better for just hardwood, vinyl, laminate etc.3. Mobile application is great. It has everything you need to know about the machine. You can schedule your daily cleaning, check battery life and control the velocity of the suction. No reservations here. I also have another robot next door at my parents house which i control from the same house so its convenient. So if your looking to scale your cleaning solution to a first and second floor the app will allow you to do that.4. My only reservation with this thing is that it can be 'dumb' sometimes. Annoyingly dumb. I know it has a mapping, learning feature built in but somehow it always gets back sneaking under an area where i have some low profile sofas and itll struggle its way underneath it only to get stuck. I wish this thing had one of those do not cross tapes i can utilize (my parents Eufy has this next door but its a $100 more) but i dont think it does. For now its something im willing to live with b/c the pros def outweigh the cons imo.So in closing, if you have a small space this will compliment a stick vac or a dyson v8 (which i use) very well. I think itll exceed every expectation you have so long as its not being purchased as your only vac. GL and happy cleaning

I had a hard time understanding how to pair this with my I-phone 12. I thought "airing referred to a Bluetooth connection. And the directions and videos didn't explain that this is pared as a wifi connection. Once I figured that out after an hour, it works well. It's not as good as a vacuum cleaner, but it picks up most dirt, lint and cat hair.

Lil dude is fantastic. I love em. -prep the home to block any spots where he might get stuck and bam watch him go. -app is absolutely dog water. Terrible end user experience. Luckily u dont need the app for this guy to do his thing.

This is my first robovacuum, it works pretty good. We have 2 dogs, one is a german sheperd so he sheds alot. It picks up ALL the dog hair and any grass or dry mud they bring in. We were tired of having to vacuum every other day so we finally got a robovac and I wish I bought one years ago. The only minor issues this one has is sometimes it goes over the same room/area multiple times while ignoring other areas. It doesn't follow the same pattern every time, it's always changing what area to start in which I think contributes to it getting confused. Not a big deal because it has a setting to go back to unfinished areas after recharging when the battery dies but it would be better to do a consistent pattern and get the whole house in one run cycle. Make sure to follow the directions because you will definitely have to empty it everytime, sometimes again mid-cycle if you have alot of pet hair or don't use it daily. Of course this is in no way meant to replace a real vacuum and will not thoroughly clean carpets, it only gets surface debris on carpet and misses corners, but it's great for daily maintenance to cut down 90% of the debris.

Long review, but I want to be fair to them. I bought this to replace an existing one that is pretty beat up, a Samsung one that has worked well for a number of years. The product doesn't really work well without the mobile app and wifi. The set up process is clear enough, but no matter what I did, it would not connect to my Wifi. I had several rounds with Eufy support -- always unfailingly polite, and recording and sharing video of the steps I was taking. As a note, I'm quite experienced computers, software development and the internet. I have an Alexa and dot, two doorbells, a chime, a washer and dryer -- all configured to use Wifi and never an issue. Nothing worked to get it to connect. They finally did an exchange, and sent a new one. It also failed in the same way. I finally told them I was done troubleshooting. THEN, they said "Oh, we found an issue with IOS 14 & higher and Android 9 (I think it was, I have IOS), where "Precise Location" must be enabled on the app for it to connect." This is not in the documentation. They asked me to make sure that was on (it was off) and try it again. I did, and it connected right away and works perfectly. So, hopefully this will help a buyer if it doesn't connect correctly for them. As far as it's performance, it works well and I have had zero problems with its performance for the past week or so that I have had it working.

The eufy has issues with staying connected to my Wifi. Connection goes in and out constantly. But it’s probably my fault. Once it is connected and running, the app and eufy work well.

I have two dogs that shed like it’s an olympic event and they are going for gold. My home becomes a tumbleweed of fur within a very short period of time and I have come to realize that I need to vacuum more than I shower. Just to paint a picture of how real the struggle can be. I received my RoboVac and within two days of utilizing this little wonder, I can now see my floor, eat without worry and actually do something fun outside of vacuuming. Though she (Flo) is not a super floor cleaner, (steam mop, chasing the laughing dust bunnies kind), she has made my life so much easier and cleaner! No more tumbleweeds! So very thankful. I gave it four stars instead of five because it doesn’t serve me coffee in the morning. Once that is achieved, I’m good for 5. Lol
