I really like this press, and was looking for one that would fit in my smallest frying pan so I could cook my veggie burgers on both sides without pulling out the George Foreman grill when just cooking for one. I mist the pan with oil and set the press inside the pan while it preheats. Top my burger with the press to speed up the cooking time and crisp up the tops. Works very well. Reason I bought this one over others was because of the size and the grill ridges on it. They are not as deep as others and taper at the end so food does not get stuck inside the ridges, and there is more heat touching the surface of my food. Leaves nice grill marks. Easy to clean, just wipe a sponge across it when done using, rinse with hot water and dry with a paper towel and a dab of oil to keep seasoned and prevent rust formation. Handle is secure, and no rust problems after using this for months now. Would recommend you look at closely at the pictures of the grill ridges and see why I think this one is superior to other presses at similar price points.

I prefer a round bacon press with a simple char grill grooved face versus those with a elaborate "decorative" facing surface, which are a royal pain to clean, so this press is ideal. Plus, it's slightly smaller size allows use with both 10" & 12" pans while still providing ample coverage. The larger presses typically cannot be used in a 10" skillet, so in that sense less is definitely more.

Great press with many uses.I did hope as a 7" press it would work with my 8" cast iron skillet, but the press is too large to lay flat against the 8" skillet.Rust is expected since it is an IRON press! Hand wash it and after, put a very light coating of high smoke temperature editable oil on it and it will be rust free.If it should rust, DO NOT PANIC! A little rust (Iron) is good in your diet and WILL NOT KILL you.If it rusts, just use a little high smoke temperature editable oil on the rust, wipe off, and then reseason the press.

Well made and nice and heavy. Use it mainly for what they are calling bacon now. Keeps it from curling up. Have not seasoned as it came seasoned and after a pound of bacon or two its looking like its found a home. Wooden handle is large and plenty of room to keep from getting burnt. I would buy again. Don't think I will have to.
