Just got this item...have only washed it twice and already seeing rust spots. I made sure to not let water sit on it before or after washing too so I’m very disappointed that it’s already showing signs of rust.

Reading all the 5-star reviews on this product. I figure I must have done something wrong to get such poor results Right out of the box, I cleaned and oiled the press. I used an aluminum pre-treated pan...could this be the problem? Laid in the 7 1/2'' pan four half strips of bacon, placed the press on the bacon, then set the electric, glass-top stove top (Problem? Why?) for medium heat and pressed start. After checking on the bacon, the top was OK, but the bottom of the bacon was still raw. I phoned in a detailed question to the seller, but never received an answer. The seller (Commercial Chef or Household Brand) evidently has no email address. I'm returning this item, and am wary about recommending t.

I purchased this all excited to make smash burgers. However, upon receiving, the box was very worn, dirty and smooshed and the product itself had white flakes on it and the handle just continuously spun. The screws on either side could not be tightened. I’m pretty sure I got someone’s faulty returned item, which is frustrating, as returns should not be resold unless unopened!
