I love this little bacon press. I don't use it for bacon, but for sausages and hamburger patties. The weight is perfect. I have only washed it in hot, soapy water and let it air dry. I store it on a metal trivet. Not showing any signs of rust. One word of caution. Moisture might collect under the press when it is used in a fry pan. Care has to be taken when lifting the press out of the pan to keep the moisture from dripping onto the stove or cabinet. I wish it were made in U.S., but it's a quality product..

I preheat this and it cuts the cooking time. I wish I bought one years ago.

My husband is so happy I got this bacon press. He says his bacon has never been cooked so perfectly every single time. I thought they were used in restaurants only. Not so. Do try this....also, it doesn't spatter any more!
