It took a bit of practice but I was able to figure out how to get it to work well. Good buy as it was half off before Christmas.

The first one didn’t work well. Target replaced it and the second one works great. I would definitely advise getting the Allstate insurance on it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Duo Nuutrisealer vacuum system works so well. It is easy to use and I can use it on all my bulk meats and even sealing snacks and such. Great for pre-portioning lunches for the kids to grab and go.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was wasting so much food using regular freezer bags, things always seemed to end up with frostbite and a few times bags opened as I was getting them out of the freezer leaving a huge mess. Whenever friends gave me frozen meals they used vacuum sealed bags and the foods tasted as good as fresh so I wanted to start saving foods smarter too. First, you get 4 nice size rolls of make your own bags for use along with the 2 vacuum seal bags and attachment to use when canning or when using the resealable vacuum bags. The actual Nutrisealer wasn’t hard to master using the easy start instructions. I liked that they added a recipe book with the sealer, the chili recipe was pretty good. I mainly use the sealer for frozen foods but it’s helped me save tortillas that normally end up hard and stale when I try to make them ahead. This just might be the perfect solution for longer term food storage because foods are no longer frost bitten or stale. I can make larger batches of chili and lasagna and freeze portions rather than just trying to do smaller ones. I learned to roll out my ground beef so packages take up less freezer space and thaw quicker and using the sealer it stays fresh tasting longer term and no freezer burn.

It has saved me so much money being able to seal packages and buy family sizes packages of meat and split them up and seal them. I have also sealed chip and cereal bags back so not to have soggy chips and cereal. I would absolutely recommend to everyone!!
