[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am disappointed with this product. I store a lot of items in the freezer (meats, bagels, leftovers) and I thought this was going to help keep my food items fresher longer but it was just too complicated to use. First, the instructions are impossible to understand. The instructions did not describe well enough how to operate the unit, how to install or cut the bags and it never instructed when to add the food. Second, even after trying to follow along and cut a bag to size, it didn't cut, it just perforated the bag so when I attempted to separate the bag at the perforation, it just ripped it. I don't have the patience to keep trying. Using plastic zipper bags is more my speed for the ease and convenience.

The vacuum function kind of worked on the first try, but it gave up after that. It would pull about half the air out of the bag then the motor would just run endlessly with no results. It never would seal because it never could pull enough air out for the sensor to shift function. It failed at its only job. Avoid this thing if you don't want to waste your money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used many vacuum sealing machines and I had high hopes for this one but it just did not meet my or my family’s expectations. I like that it is compact and stores really easily but that is about it. It is built flimsy and is hard to keep steady while in use. I have tried sealing many things including ground beef, cooked fish, dried fruits, steamed veggies, homemade jerky etc and every single time the bags never truly vacuumed sealed. It appears to seal while in the machine but never stayed vacuumed. Each and every time the bag would expand with air after sitting. There has never been a true vacuum seal to anything I have tried to store. Even the sealing of the bag itself took a double seal to guarantee it was heated shut. I tried over and over many times to get a real vacuum sealed bag to where I felt comfortable to store my food but I never succeeded. Not what I expected at all. Not a machine for my needs.

Very poorly made, very difficult to latch. We have had a sealer of the most popular brand for over 10 years and STILL works better than this. Returned to seller, wouldn't even seal 2nd bag and DOES NOT use less bag product (as advertised)!!!

This machine is cheap and ineffective. It is difficult to use and takes some effort to close, as noted in the reviews. I figured I would give it a try and it broke during the second use. The first time I used it, the suck ion was weak at best. Now the door hinge broke so I have weak suction and no way to seal it. I don’t think I can return it so I am out of luck. Save your time and money and get something else

Do not waste your time or money!! It worked beautifully the first 2x’s then after that, with very minimal use, it stopped performing. It barely sucks out any air - I can remove the same amount of air pushing on a ziploc. Just buy the real food saver & thank me later.

Love the sealer when it was functioning but it has been roughly 6 months and the bags are not sealing firmly any longer. Salmon is literally falling out the bottom and the vacuum is not being maintained in any bags any longer.

Stopped working. Company doesn't stand by its product.
