Bumps in front of the hole

The ball rolls with the accuracy I was hoping for. However, I have no idea why they decided to use this thick of tape to attach the mat to the acrylic hole. When I putt, my ball bounces off the tape. Just to be clear it’s not the lip in the front, it’s the tape I have highlighted with the red arrow. Feels silly to have to rip that out after just unboxing it today. Anyone else have this issue?

Ball return doesn't work

The return doesn't work. The ball stops halfway.

Way too expensive.

You're buying the DJ endorsement. That's it. The product material is identical to other products found on Amazon for $50-$100. I also found the carpet to bow which makes the ball always stay in the middle. I tried ironing and adding weights to flatten out, but no luck.

Far from perfect.

My main issue with this putting mat is the false sense of accuracy it gives you. The mat bows up in a concave shape all the way down both edges so the ball always finds its way to the center even if you push or pull it. I tried everything to flatten it including ironing, steaming, and leaving books on it overnight but nothing has worked. The ball return doesn't work well...the ball goes maybe half of the length back. I use the putting mat on a flat surface (tile) so it's not a leveling issue.

Expensive for what it is

For starters, The mat would not lay flat (even when a stack of books were left on mat for three days.) The sides were also bowed, making the ball constantly roll to the middle. I felt like I was putting with those bumpers you see at bowling alleys for kids.. Even when I tried to putt to the side of the mat, the mat would push my ball to the center. This was great for self-confidence , horrible for feedback. I feel you would get the same experience from a product $100 less than the "Official Putting Mat of Dustin Johnson" I guess they have to get their money back for what they spent to have DJ on the box.

Poor value for the money

The value for the money is terrible in my opinion. But if $150 bucks isn’t a big deal to you won’t be disappointed. But for the money, you shouldn’t have the cons I listed below. Pros: Exposes your flaws!!!! You know instantly if you have a tendency to push or pull. Smaller than regulation practice hole makes you better! Looks nice with the finishes. Cons: For the money I think the mat should be heavier grade along with the wood. The mat has been on my hardwood floor for over a week and still isn’t perfectly flat, I think the material is too light. Ball doesn’t always return Just feels cheaply made when you get your hands on it. The ramp going up doesn’t have a perfectly smooth and supported translation off the floor and there is a slight bump. They should let you know there is more than one model of these so you can choose.

Returned

We really wanted this to work but sadly it had to be returned. The carpet piece that the golf ball rolls on was bent/warped and even putting books on top to even it out didn't help. The golf ball was not rolling on a level surface. Disappointed, but we tried!

Warped

The mat is warped so the putting is unrealistic I’ve even tried ironing it and it did not help

Not Bad (Better than most)

Just arrived & opened today (1-22-21). Dislikes: *Package appeared to have opened and re closed. *Wood frame and return track had a few blemishes and was chipped in location that didn't effect how ball rolled. * Every now & then ball hung up in box. General: Carpet was rolled tight and as expected did not lay flat right out of the box. However, it responded well to ironing and was ready for use in few minutes. Note: I did not place the iron directly on carpet/mat. I placed a thin hand towel on carpet, used iron on high setting with lots of steam) Golfballs roll very true and you have to make a good stroke to hole the ball. The golfball did not always roll to end of return track but have been due to my floor. The golfball did always roll to a point on the return track where I could easily grab and put again. Note: I actually used a few balls and it worked fine - one was always in queue for use. Would I recommend this golf product: Not for current price- It's a good putting for sure but you could go a bit cheaper and still fine a good putting surface. If prices come down some I would say go for it - it's a very nice mat. May update in a few weeks....

Well designed but doesn't lay flat

Generally the product is well designed for practice at home and I like the ball return feature which works well. Unfortunately after several weeks, the mat still has bumps from the original shipping. A smooth surface is critical for good feedback when practicing. Thus on balance I feel the product is mediocre.
