shoddy

Mine arrived with fraying stitching as shown in the picture, so I requested a replacement. The replacement arrived, and it’s just as bad.

Putting surface will not stay flat

Overall the design is nice, but the putting mat is folded in the box and is nearly impossible to flatten. I tried an iron and steamer, but neither does the trick. Maybe it was designed to help with green reading ;)

Not worth the price

The media could not be loaded.  TLDR: ball return just stopped.I bought this product because of two main things, lines and what looks like a quality made ball returning system. And to have it be endorsed by Dustin Johnson was another added bonus. First few months this thing was hands down a 5 star product. I could tell when my putts got offline, and I didn't need to do much to repeat the stroke since the ball return also did its job. The putting surface was great as it was pretty comparable to an actual green. My putting improved tremendously. Although, in hindsight, any knock off that does basically the same things as this mat does will help improve your putting stroke.I practice almost daily, if not every other day, and I put a lot of stock into putts within 5 ft. And like previously mentioned, this worked like a charm. However, a few months after my 1 year warranty, the ball return just stopped (as seen in that video). So I decided to putt with more balls to kind of get it going, it made it worse. As many as 4-5 balls can get stuck in that ball return mechanism. I do understand it might be some sort of wear and tear issue, but for such a steep price I expected it to last longer. As a side note, I keep this indoors and the ground is perfectly flat. Even though I practice daily, it's never more than 30 minutes each session. I can only imagine if someone is a serious scratch player looking to go pro and using this for winter practice, this will probably break down within a few months. One other little thing that didn't factor in my rating is that this thing is loud. If you live in an apartment where noise is an issue, do not get this. Also, their customer service is great, as long as it's within their 1 year warranty, they'll ship a new one out to you, no questions asked. But if you're past it, like mine was, you just need to buy a new one or, in my case look elsewhere.

Good tool if you like delusion

If you think this will help you with your putting, you will be sadly mistaken.Use it as an alignment aid, and nothing more. It won't help with pacing, the ball generally won't go straight (you can test this by rolling a ball from the top and seeing if it will go straight... spoiler it will likely go crooked). Don't trust the ball going in the hole. It usually just means you hit it so hard that you took all the break on the mat out of the stroke.Summary: If you trust the stroke that makes you hole out most of these putts, you're going to be in for an unpleasant surprise when you get on the course.

Won’t lay flat

This wont lay flat no matter how many boxes or books I leave on it. I applied double sided tape to the base to get it to lay flat and that didn’t help either. Is a lot or money for something that won’t lay flat.

Does not lay flat on a level basement floor.

The price point is low and the quality of this putting surface reflects that. I've tried ironing the surface on a low/medium setting, laying heavy objects on top of it, laying it upside down to let gravity do the work... none of it will get this to putting surface to lay flat. It isn't lost on me that greens in reality are not perfectly flat either, but that wasn't the point of this product. Very disappointing.

Hole is too small

I just received this product and played around with it for a few hours. It was all the rave in the golf world this year. The solid wood construction is nice, but I don’t feel it’s worth $150+. The lines and yardage are cool. The biggest complaint I have is that the hole size is not regulation. The bigger hole is only 3.25” in diameter. I get that it makes you a better putter, but they should tell you this up front. Now for the nitpicks: The main ramp's leading edge is not quite sharp enough. The small lip actually pops the ball slightly when it starts to roll up the ramp. The other complaint is that the return ramp doesn’t have enough of a slope. Sometimes the ball gets stuck. The felt doesn’t feel like anything super special. Good product, but room for improvement.

Nice product, but came in damaged.

This product is as advertised, and works great. The issue is the magnetic return rails were rubbing together in transit that they appear worn with several large surface blemishes. I will call Amazon and ask what they suggest.

Item ships in a clearly labeled box. Not good for a Xmas gift.
