Since the hole is smaller, I found it difficult for the first week. Good training to maintain the proper the speed. The uphill slope at the end teaches you to reach the back of the cup. I like the ball return, easy to assemble. I use the putting mat about 15 minutes every day now.

Just what I needed during these cold winters. As some people have issues with the edges folding up, I did also. Found that the best way to smooth them back down was to roll the green back up, the opposite way - green side out. Seems to work. Do it once a week.

I practice on this every day and really enjoy it. The only thing that gives me pause are the edges of the mat seem curled up a bit so can send the ball in weird trajectory if it rolls within 1 inch

Edges were curled up affecting the roll but just play a little break on your putts

I purchased this product because I the quality appeared much greater than the $50, plastic products. The result in that category was better than I expected. I love the feel of the mat, the wood is really nice, and I even love the sound of the ball going "plunk" into the hole. I almost didn't purchase this product because of the hole size. Neither hole is regulation, and one, regulation sized hole in the middle is what I was looking for -- for whatever reason, nobody is offering this (in good quality). I guess beggars can't be choosers. The result there is a bit worse than I expected. The mat just isn't wide enough for two holes. Especially the smaller (right) hole, if you hit the ball a little to the right, it'll hit the edge and come right back. That being said, the two holes are growing on me. I can barely even notice the left hole is smaller than regulation... I am enjoying using it, and i do think it's helping me with my putting stroke. In summary - it's a really good product, but I'm frustrating with decisions made on some of the measurements, so I'm on the fence about whether I'd recommend at this point.

Carpet needs to be front and back roll to try to improve lay flatness

All you do is roll it out on a flat surface, line up the return slats and start putting. I am a beginner golfer in my late 50s, excited to finally get good enough to play with my older brother. I wanted to show off my skills, but he declared I was the worst putter he had ever seen in the entire world. That hurts but he was right that I was bad. Reclaiming my dignity began the moment this arrived. My accuracy and force are incredibly improved. The video coached me thru a grip modification that is a game changer for me. My brother doesn’t know it yet but I am going to crush him the next time we play a round.

I’m recovering from shoulder surgery so the only golf stroke I can practice is putting. I bought the Perfect Practice putting mat a week or 2 ago and it has definitely helped me understand the flaws in my putting stroke. I got the set that included the mirror and I realized that my stance was a part of my problem. Once I corrected some issues with that, I was able to focus on keeping the putter head straight in both the backswing and follow through by using the lines in the mat as a gauge. Very helpful! I also really like the small hole, as it makes the regulation hole look gargantuan. I made 40 consecutive 6-footers on the regulation hole before finally taking a break. It’s very satisfying to watch a putt roll straight down the line. The ball rolls perfectly true and the material is good quality - maybe a little quicker than the public greens I’m used to playing on. My only complaint as a putting aid is the ramp up to the holes. I wish they had some sort of adjustment/calculation to tell you what the length is taking the ramp into consideration. I’ve hit many putts that fail to get to the cup, but had plenty of pace had the mat been flat. Likewise, I’ve had just as many that went in that probably were hit too hard for the distance shown on the mat. So maybe a 6 foot putt is adjusted to 8 feet with the ramp - something like that. It will be interesting to see how my distance control is on an actual green. One last thing: balls never come completely down the ball return ramp. No big deal, but for the price, I’d like to see that work better. Set up is super easy, but it takes several days and some ironing to get the mat to lay completely flat. Mine is still curled up just a tad at the ends, but that doesn’t interfere with putting.
