I don't normally leave reviews ever, but I have to share with all of you ladies out there - this thing is amazing!! This pretty curling iron gives fabulous salon styled results. The curls are nice and loose so not overdone. My boyfriend noticed right away that I had curled my hair differently. He loved it and so did everyone else. Classy gold and black styling-so it looks nice in my bathroom. I only wish it an an automatic shut off after 30 minutes or so. I forgot to unplug it and it was still burning hot when I got home.

I have thick, dark, straight, asian hair and I've gone through several brands of curling irons. My curls never stay for longer than a few minutes. Hot Tools is amazing. I can tell as soon as I curl my hair that the curls are intact. I also often smell the faint burnt-hair odor with other curlers, but not this one. It heats up fast. Best part is, it's way cheaper than some other brands I tried! I've used this curler about once a week for 3 months. I really have no complaints about it other than it doesn't have auto-shutoff, which most curlers don't anyway. I got the 1" for my shoulder-length hair and wish I had gotten the 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" for looser waves but that's no complaint about the product itself. Pros: -Inexpensive -Fast heat-up -Temperature setting rather than ambiguous number scale -No burnt smell -Good for thick hair -Curls/waves stay for 3 days Cons: -No automatic shut-off

I really like this curling iron. My hair goes past my bra line, and when I blow dry it it’s still frizzy and doesn’t lay right. This is perfect if you want a “blow out” look. It’s not really going to do a tight curl, it’s 2in!! But it makes the hair appear soft and luxurious. Love hot tool products. Only type of curling iron I get

I love ANY hot tools product. I have long, naturally extremely thick wavy hair and this product works wonders. I do use the HIGHEST setting due to my hair, although I know not everyone should so use caution and make sure the heat is appropriate for your hair type! I can wash and dry my hair without using a straightener afterwards and just use the curling iron will make my hair smooth and luscious curls that will last for days as I do not wash my hair every day. What I like about the curler is I don't experience any fried smelling hair, nor do I feel it damages my hair. I have tried ionic, and more expensive products guaranteeing better, longer lasting curls and out of three other brands, nothing works better for me than HotTools. The best part about it, the curlers on amazon compared to stores (i.e. Ulta) are extremely inexpensive! I usually have to replace them every two or three years but I have to admit I do not take extremely good care of these tools. For the price, I don't mind replacing them every few years.

I purchased the Hot Tools curling iron first in the 1" size, then later in the 1.5" size, and most recently in the 1.25" size. I have very fine, curl resistant hair so it has always been frustrating to me in the past to try and curl it. These irons combined with either Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray or Beach Spray have made all my curly-headed dreams come true! These irons get to an extremely high heat, which is what I believe has been the key to creating curls that have some staying power. My hair is even curly the next day - something I never thought would happen. I would highly recommend these irons. The heat is high, but I have not found that it has damaged my hair. The prong is easy to remove and then replace for wrapped curls without buying a separate, clip-less curling iron. The heat setting is adjustable, so you can customize it to find the perfect setting for your hair. For the money, I couldn't recommend a better product.

I absolutely adore this Hot Tools 2 inch curling iron. First of all, I had been looking for a two inch curling iron in the stores for a few months and they are not available. So I found this one on amazon and decided to give it a try. I can say that it is huge! The barrel is really large and it works great on my long hair. I have very long hair that does not look right when I use a normal sized curling iron, but when I use this one it makes my hair have a great thick curl on the bottom and it looks bouncy and full. I definitely need to order another one to keep in my suitcase since I travel for work!

I often have trouble with getting my hair to hold a curl but this iron does the trick! These photos are from the morning after sleeping in my curls I did approx 5pm last night! I usually use a babyliss 1.25 barrel and they do not hold this long at all (could be the barrel size too since this is 1 inch) but I’m very impressed! Also there is another seller of this iron that I believe is counterfeit because of the end of the iron/ where the cord goes to looks different than the one on the hot tools website. But this particular seller seems to be the real thing! Very impressed.

I purchased same iron in 5.5in but barrel was too thick for my short locks so decided to get this one. It is perfect and holds the curl for a few days. You have to be careful cause it can get very hot. A little expensive but I am sure I will get many years of daily use. I like that I have the thicker barrel to use when hair gets longer.

I have just-past shoulder length, incredibly thick, STRAIGHT hair, that will not curl for anything. I've had chemical perms multiple times, as well as relied on sleep-in rollers to get my hair to curl, only to have those curls fall out in a few hours. My other curling iron is a Conair 2-ish inch iron, which does fairly alright, but they fall out in 10 minutes tops. Needless to say, I love this curling iron. Granted that, curling a small piece of my hair takes turning this thing on to 430 degrees and leaving it in for about 25-35 seconds (not even kidding, I even had to re-curl some spots if I didn't leave it in for that long)! But, the point is that this iron CURLS.. like a boss. So yes, I would highly recommend Hot Tools curling irons to anyone with inhumanely thick hair as mine is! It took a solid hour, at least, to curl all of my hair, now I'll get to see how long they stay in... ETA: Curls have stayed in through the night! Had to do some re-curls on some of them, but mostly, they've stayed in pretty strong! Now I'm thoroughly sold on this iron! :'D

I've always been someone who owned a drugstore type of curling iron. When they died on me (which they always did), I would just replace it with another one. I've been going to a hair stylist for years now and she swears by Hot Tools only. I always loved how she styled my hair after a cut and so I jumped on Amazon and found it for a comparable price to the ones I usually buy at my local Target. It arrived sooner than promised on my doorstep and has been amazing. I'm not the most patient person when it comes to styling my hair (section by section, etc). But it has been great so far. It makes my curls seem cleaner than my other irons. It also heats up super fast & is super hot. I actually don't have it on the highest temp control because I'm scared it'll be too hot in case I get close to my face. Highly recommend this if you're like me and don't want to keep replacing your curling iron and want results!
