After using my Hot Tools professional curling iron for 10 years, it finally quit working, so I immediately replaced it with another. These curing irons are really easy to use, get as hot as you like, and heat up quickly. The cord is also long so it can reach from a fairly distant plug.

This is the first "professional" curling iron I've bought, as every other one I've purchased has been from a drugstore or Walmart. The drugstore ones would curl my hair but it would not hold for longer than an hour or so and I always struggled with the temperature. I am loving the Hot Tools iron for the exact flip of all those reasons - my hair now holds a curl for nearly the whole day and the varying temperature settings are perfect. The curling iron is heavy but not in a negative way, more in a high-quality way. I always hated curling my hair because it took so long but this past weekend, I wore my hair in beachy waves for nearly the entire time because I am in love with how this iron curls. If you've never curled your hair before or don't feel confident doing so, watch some tutorials (Youtube) before attempting anything too complicated and definitely do not turn the heat up to the highest setting at first. I bought this in the 1 1/4" size and am likely going to purchase one in the 2" size when I have some extra money laying around. It comes with 2 replacement springs, which is wonderful because a broken or worn spring is generally the main reason for needing a new curling iron.

I have very thick, short to medium hair that has natural wave/curl. I don't wash my hair daily, so need a style that will last 2-3 days. I had tried multiple small curling irons (did I mention my hair is very thick?). None of them did the job. I needed a curling iron to simply finish my style, and have it last. My stylist recommended this brand. She offered to get it for me when they went on sale. I was amazed when I saw it on Amazon for such a spectacular price. This was right before xmas, and I mentioned it to my youngest son. Who says kids (even adult ones) don't listen? I got this amazing curling iron and could not be happier. I expect many "good hair days" from what I've experienced so far. BTW, I use the highest setting because of the thickness of my hair. I have never had any problems at this temperature. I would simply caution...know your hair before using.

This curling iron has served me extremely well. Very easy to achieve loose waves in just a few minutes. My hair doesn't usually hold curl very well, but I keep the heat just under 380 and it works beautifully. In the past couple months the clamp has been sticky and won't go down smoothly, which turns out to be because a little bearing on the spring-hinge thingy fell out of place. I fixed it once (with some difficulty) but it happened again, so I just bought a replacement. When I bought the new one I noticed they come with a 7-year warranty, so I got online to see when I had bought the first one. Can't complain about 8 years of faithful service. Everything else about it still works perfectly.

Dont bother buying anything else. Yes its expensive but worth every penny! I have long hair and love making ringlets. I can do a full head of hair in 10 minutes!! The handle is soft and the swivel is perfect never gets tangled. You can make it HOT be sure to use a heat protectant before you use it. :)

My hair is thick and has a natural wave, so I use this to smooth my hair into a nice bob. I don't know how it works with thin hair - the temp goes really high, which is what I need. Today I tried scrunching my hair wavy naturally, didn't like it, didn't know if it would work to iron it, but it did.

I absolutely love this curling iron. I had just about given up trying to curl my fine hair thinking it just wouldn't hold. My hairstylist, however, got great curl. She suggested I get this and boy was she right. Easy to use, extra long cord and heats quickly...I'm very pleased.

You choose the temp you want and this iron heats up fast. I have very short super fine hair and needed to find a way to put a little lift in it. Add in Florida humidity and my previous flat iron just couldn’t cope. This little 1/2” curling iron is getting the job done!

I am very happy with this purchase - I got the 1 1/2 Inch Spring Iron. I have been looking for a new curling iron that give you light beachy waves and this one is amazing. It heats up very quickly and the heat settings are accurate. It works very smoothly in your hair and your hair glides on the iron part. With other Curling Irons my hair often got stuck and dragged during the process. Since the cable part is flexible and rotates it never really gets in your way. I have very very long and VERY straight hair and usually curling irons have not been able to make my hair curly instantly without a lot of effort and make me have beautiful waves all day long. It has always been a struggle until now - with this curling iron I am able to give my hair volume, waves or curls within minutes in the morning before work or before I go out. Again, I have VERY straight and stubborn hair, which is usually so hard to get curly but this product creates amazing results with very little effort! So happy I found it! I would highly recommend!

As far as I'm concerned, I would never buy a curling iron from anyone but Hot Tools. I had a 1 inch Hot Tools curling iron like this and I've been very pleased with it - the heat on it is nice and hot and makes the curling process quicker and better. I also love the extra-long cord. I needed to upsize the barrel because I have shoulder-length hair and I'm going for that "wavy" look, so the 1" barrel was too small. 1 1/4" was just enough of an increase to get the look I want. Again it has the long cord and the high heat that I like and it works GREAT for me. My ONLY negative was the the 1" iron came with a rubber cover for the barrel and the 1 1/4" had no cover at all - it's not something that was promised in the package, I just wish I had a cover for it.
