[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The trimmer on this thing has a lot of power to really plow through hair! I do wish the head on the trimmer was a bit smaller though; sometimes it's hard to see around it. I am not usually a shaver person, but I have been pleasantly surprised with how well it shaves.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this razor to shave my head and facial hair. I also use it to trim and groom my mustache and beard. It gives my head and face a very close and smooth cut. It doesn't pull or irritate my skin. You don't have to worry about nicks or cuts. I love that you can use it wet or dry and it's very easy to clean. It also comes with an attachment for trimming your sideburns, mustache, and sides of your beard. It's ergonomically shaped so it would not slip from your hand when in use. It feels very solid and durable. So far, I've used it over a dozen times without needing to charge it. I've been using a Norelco electric razor for over 10 years. But now, I prefer this Braun shaver because of it's smooth cut and long lasting battery. It's perfect for travel! I highly recommend this product and would buy it again!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed my experience with the Braun Shaver 5018s Solo. It has a nice feel to it, good grip and does a really good job. I would recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a new shaver. I was not aware of this specific model from Braun before and am glad I tried it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a beard so I normally just use a razor to shave hair on my upper cheek and on my neck. This is so much better though. No more razor rash or irritated skin. Super quick and easy and with the edger attachment I can make sure my beard looks perfect. I would definitely purchase again and recommend to my friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's the first time I try a Braun shaver, in the past I have used Norelco/Philips. I found this shaver very smooth and comfortable to use. I really liked how easy it was to switch head accessories. It also has a pretty long battery life. I absolutely loved how easy it was to clean it under water. I gave it 4 stars because my Norelco gives me a better finish, a cleaner shave. However the difference is not huge and I have to say the Norelco I have is top of the line, quite expensive. Also, the missing star is because it doesn't come with a pouch to store it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First I would like to say I am happy to review the Braun S5 electric shaver. I enjoyed using the product very much. It was very convenient and easy to use and clean. My first impression upon opening the box was that it was very stylish and comfortable to hold. The power button and display were easily accessible/readable. It came with a charger and an instruction manual, as well as a cleaning brush and trimmer head attachment. I plugged the unit in and let it charge while I went on to read the manual. I was disappointed at first as I found the manual hard to read. Funny as it may be, it seemed to be made to be easy to read. I didn't find that so. It was all created in a comic book style format with little to no actual instruction. It took me several reads but eventually the comic strip made some sense and I was able to properly use the product. Approximately an hour of charging and the Braun S5 was ready to use. I started with the trimmer head. I had to detach the shaver head first which had came attached by default. At first I wasn't sure if I was doing it right and was afraid I might break it. I referred back to the comic strip to reassure myself. I gained confidence and pulled a little harder. Sure enough the head popped off and I was able to snap the trimmer head onto the S5. That wasn't so bad though the whole time I wasn't sure if I was doing it right and was sure I would break something. I trimmed my whole beard and lined up my mustache. I decided to go with a goatee cut. Everything went excellent and smooth. I had no snags with the trimmer head and was close enough to let the shaver head come in and do it's job smoothing things out. I ran the trimmer under some hot water and swapped heads again. This time swapping heads was much easier. I had more confidence. I had figured out the way they come off and go back on. It was much easier than the first time for sure.

Owned an old Braun about 30 yes. ago. No comparison. This one is almost as close as a blade. Not exactly, but close. I was leery when I bought it because my Norelco was terrible.

Bought a triple rotary norelco and all it did was cut my face and tear my skin. This braun replaced my old one and has not given me any issues at all. I do home health so Im shaving in the car on the way to patients homes and I can shave for days with 1 charge. Not sure what all the bad reviews are for but come on....it's an electric shaver. What "directions" do you need other than plug it in to charge it and shave like normal? What happened to common sense? My only complaint to braun is I wish the 9pro was a bit cheaper lol !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun series 5 shaver is a good electric razor, it gave me a nice shave. My only complaint is the attachment is small and kinda of an odd shape, but works ok.
