I always like a close shave and I have been using the shaver for 2 weeks and it works great. I can use dry or wet and it doesn't take long to shave for smoothness and the feel and is good in the hand good fit , only down side to me is the changing of Heads for the trimmer most other shavers usually have them all in one for convenience but it's not a big deal to me. On another note to add the charger it doesn't take long to get a charge if I'm on the go

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Previously I had not liked foil style razors. In the two or three others I'd tried they all had pinched when shaving my neck and under the chin. I had no such issues with the 5018s. I like the changeable razor and trimmer heads and how that makes cleaning very quick and easy. The size of the razer head was also nice, it did not get in the way as some of the large foils when trying to shave under the nose. My only real issue with the 5018s is It was difficult to get a completely smooth shave with it over my entire face. However, it was very good for trimming the whiskers down so only a minute or so cleanup with my regular razor was necessary. This saves wear on my razor blades. For example I had not shaved for about a week when I first used the 5018s, and it was much better a clearing the longer whiskers. It would have taken significantly longer with my regular razor, which with the 5018s it took the same amount of time as it did when doing my normal every day shave.

I have found that it does not give me quite as smooth a shave as I like for important events but it works well for everyday use. I have also found that it works well for my teenage son who has special needs and can't use a regular razor. I think if you have fine/medium hair this works very well but not for coarser hair like I have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Braun Shaver to shave and I must admit compared to the other battery operated shaver and trimmer I was using the Braun was levels better. This is my firs experience with the 5018s and any Braun shaver as a mater of fact and would definitely purchase another Braun product. I plan to try and buy replacement blades for this as well once they begin to dull. I must admit I really enjoy the quality of shave and trim it provides giving me the nice clean and smooth feeling I desire. I would definitely recommend you give this shaver a chance if you are in the market for a quality shaver and trimmer combo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Series 5 5018s can be used for wet or dry shaving. My personal preference is wet shaving. Shaves close to my skin without any irritations. I really like the precision trimmer, it is very useful and easy to use. The battery life is good too! It would be nice if there was a nose trimmer attachment as well. Or, some sort of case/travel case for storage. Minus one star because it does get a bit messy similar to having a hair buzzer, so all the hair is flying all over the sink but it's a simple clean nonetheless.

The Braun Shaver 5018s is sleek, easy to use and you really do get a nice close shave without irritation. I like the waterproof feature, so if you are running short on time you can totally take in the shower with you and don't have to worry about it getting wet. My one and only complaint with this model is that I did not like that you had to switch heads to access the small cutters. Many of the other Braun models have this feature built-in, so all you have to do is push a button to make it pop up. I have to shave every day for my job, so having a reliable, easy and great shave shaver is a must and this model fits all those categories!
