These are a gift for elderly our parents. I bought one at Walmart last year for myself and I love it. My mom was visiting and took quick interest at the ease of use.

I got these for my mom who doesn’t have much strength in her hands. They work great!

As senior citizens, both my husband and I have difficulty opening bottles and jars. So we purchased this product to help w/this task. Of the two, one worked fairly well, while the other one pictured in this review never worked well from the beginning. And now, as is plainly evident from the photo, it has pieces that are coming off the opener...hence it is not functioning properly. We had purchased this type of item before and it last a year or so...this one hasn't even made it to a half year. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this product!

I have been able to open all jars that I have tried do far. I like the design with the different-sized holes so you start with the devise already close to closed on the jar. The design allows you to get a good amount of leverage on the lid. My only wish is that the biggest hole were a little bit larger. I had to really stretch it to get it around the lid of a family-sized jar of peanut butter. I was afraid I would break the opener from stretching it so far but it did the job.

So far, so good. Have only had a chance to use it a couple of times, but it seems to serve the purpose.

The opener works fine on the jars it fits (including plastic soda bottle tops that don't want to turn on their own by hand). My only disappointment is that it's not large enough to open the bottles of one brand of salsa for which about one top in three seems to have been put on with a weld (I've returned some to the store). For the price and its intended use on bottle tops of more modest size, including large jars of jam, it works as advertised.
