I love Lewis, and he was relatively easy to set up. But he’s been outside for like a week and the metal piece that you latch his arm into on this torso broke off. He hasn’t really been touched since he was set up. I’m going to have to epoxy it back in or something, but it makes me worry that he’s going to fall apart rather quickly.

I love this decoration. It had all the pieces except for the power source. So I can't even plug it in. I called corporate target and all they gave me was a 20 dollar target gift card.

My real name is Lewis so when I found out this guy's name is Lewis, I guess I had to buy him. I think the price is way too much considering he has no moving parts. I'm upset I can't even move his arms to pose him.

The pumpkin figure is tall, which makes it great to display in your yard. The issue is that it doesn’t light up all the time. To light and and say the character’s message, you must be close by the figure and wave your hand or touch it. I would just expect something that costs this much to have a continuous lit display option. We kept it despite the flaw, as it is an overall cool figure. The set up was pretty simple, although ours had no instructions. We figured it out on our own. It is well made with a metal frame. The anchors it comes with for the ground are not sufficient. I had some of my own (heavy duty metal anchors) that I had bought last year from another store. I would not buy it again unless the price was substantially less.

It breaks my heart to say anything negative so let’s be clear- this is a review for the humans that made Lewis. Lewis is a perfect angel that did nothing wrong. The motion detector is in his skirt, so with any slight movement of the robe at all he talks. Even when it’s not windy at all he talks nonstop. I don’t want to upset my neighbors with him talking all day long. I put cinderblocks and dumbbells on the base to limit movement but still it’s the fabric that’s the problem. Unless you keep him indoors or turn off the voice box I’m not sure it will work for you. Next year please put the detector in the plastic, the not the fabric.

I love Lewis and all of his sayings but I’ve had him less than a month and his stand rusted and broke and he fell over. I have to have him tied up by string now which looks terrible. ):

I scare easily and since this is so expensive it’s staying as an indoor decoration. He is adorable and doesn’t scare me at all. I did notice after I purchased him there is “baby Lewis” and “little Lewis”. Baby Lewis does not have the same face. Little Lewis does and also has the same phrases. He is very tall and I have high ceilings so he looks really good indoors. Now the bad. The phrases are a little weird, especially the voice. In my opinion the voice doesn’t fit his face. One of the phrases he says come off as a little creepy…and I don’t mean scary. I mean it in a different way that I’m not sure will be allowed in this review. I personally don’t like him talking and keep it off. I’m very disappointed in his clothing most of all. In the photo it shows it’s long and drapey on the floor. In real life his robe is very short and you can see the entire stand. Might be better hidden in grass, but indoors it looks really stupid. I can sew, so maybe after the holidays when I have nothing to do and the weather isn’t great I’ll make him a new robe that actually looks like the advertised photos do. He is definitely overpriced at $180. I used a 20% teacher discount on him and even that still was kind of expensive in my opinion. Had I seen him in person before purchase I likely wouldn’t have purchased him.
