I was pretty pleased with the Charge 5 as a tracker of steps and sleep, which were my primary reasons for getting it. After about 3 months of using it, I got a rash where ai had contact with the strap. I stopped wearing it for a couple of weeks while it healed and dry skin pulled away. After it healed, I wore it one day, and i.y skin was all red under the strap again. I do keep it clean and dry. Google searches suggest to me that the straps frequently cause rashes.

The charging station is trash. I have to mess with it several times to get it to stay connected. I have to tap the screen several times to get it to light up. I have to manually sync it to my phone. After two months, it doesn’t hold a charge for more than a few hours. The charge 4 was significantly better. The changes they’ve made were all for the worse.

Screen Has Poor Response. At first it is bearable. Once it becomes part of your life, You will spend half your interactions trying to get the screen to respond. That is a major and singular negative.

For the 3 days it worked, I enjoyed it. I was upgrading from a Charge 3, so there were some nice features I would have enjoyed. Day 3, screen went black. After chatting with Fitbit, they said someone would get back to me. That's been a week and a half ago.
Battery life is not good. Because it Has to be charged every day, I am unable to get the info about the my sleeping quality. Charge 3 battery life is 7 days or so, 5 less than a day with the nattery saving mode on. I chose Fitbit because its battery life, now I may have to return it.

2nd time I've had a Fitbit and 2nd time it magically stops working after being slightly out of warranty. Will NEVER buy a Fitbit again, suggest you don't either.

The device never held a charge like advertised. 12 months and 3 days it is dead completely. Nothing happened to it outside of daily usage. Nothing can be done because we are days after the 12 month warranty. Other family members in our household have the Inspire 3 with no issues. This one is trash.

I loved this Fitbit but it has some connectivity issues all along and ONE day after my 12 month purchase the screen died. This is my fourth Fitbit in 5.1/2 years and my last unfortunately.

It was working perfectly and out of nowhere, one day it stopped charging. It's connects and lights up, but the screen shows charging at 1% and never increases. Fitbit support doesn't have a fix and since it's out of warranty, I'm out of luck. It's a firmware problem and no solution. Terrible product to be useless after a year.

My watch completely died after 4 months, the screen just went dark.
