I dislike the fact that, if you use a product on your hair, like a heat reactive spray, the rod sticks to the hair and then leaves A residue. Have to scrub it clean after every use. Think I'll get something Teflon coated.

Returning. Barrel too big for my style.

This iron got way to hot when set on 300 and burned a chunk of my hair. This is the second hot tools iron that has shorted out and done this in the last 4 years. Otherwise I have loved them.

As a former stylist I have been using this type of iron for years. I first purchased one a couple of years ago. That one shorted out and I ordered a new one. It should have lasted longer. My new one does not clamp as firmly as it should. Disappointed!

The spring is already sticking just after a month. Curls okay.

Not bad curling..but the results do t last more than 5 minutes.. after max 15 minutes myhsir was exactly straight as before.. I’m naturally wavy and blow dried it before.. tried different techniques.. the beautiful girls don’t last.. returned it..

Mine did not heat up all the way at all sadly

This curling iron is not heating very well. Hard to get real curls. My previous Hot Tools was the best and still works but I cant get a new spring for it. Not happy with this new one Will need to find a different brand now.
Honest Opinion
The highest heat setting is too low to get through my thick hair. I have to try multiple times to get good results. And the jaw sticks open nearly every time I release the thumb bar to allow it to close on my hair.

I own the 1" and 1-1/2" versions of this curling iron but decided to get the 1-1/4" one for my new slightly shorter hair cut. Unfortunately, this iron does not get nearly as hot as the others, so what changed? This one might be a problem if you need an iron that can get pretty hot.
