This is a cheap version of the’ gold’ iron. I bought it to replace one that I purchased at a beauty store. And while the price was the same, the quality was not.

Doesn't heat up enough

This curler broke after 3 times using it. It won’t turn on at all. At first I loved it, but now I’m just frustrated I spent money on it.

I own many Hot Tools products, but didn’t realize they were all the Professional Series. This one is Signature Series and you can definitely tell a difference. Much more lightweight and snagged my hair a lot!

The spring is already worn out after a few uses and the power cord is on the short side. The quality of this brand isn’t what it use to be.

Doesn't get hot at all and Cordes too short don't waist your money

So disappointed in this purchase. I previously owned this curling iron in the gray coated helen of Troy version which I cannot find anymore and this gold version pulls and snags my hair terribly. Also even on the hottest setting my hair does not hold a curl with this. My previous hot tool was amazing and this one is useless. I feel like it’s not heating up enough as well.

I have had this product less than a month. It already doesn't close right so it doesn't get my hair totally curled. I've had Hot Tools in the past and not had this issue. This one seems old - the cord isn't half as long as ones I've had in the past. It also came packaged in the box differently. Normally it's all tied into the box and this was just in a bag in the box being all loose. I question what I received since I paid $53.49. Not real happy.

I have thick frizzy curly hair type 3b. It doesn't not does not get got enough to style my hair the way I desire. My hair just looks frizzy when done even adding oil afterwards
