First Fitbit

This is my first Fitbit experience , so far I find it interesting. I can track my sleep and my calories, along with walking. I am a senior, I am very intrigued by this technology. My only concern is I can't validate the accuracy of the information, it appears to fit what my lifestyle is and how I perform, but I don't have conclusive evidence. That being said, I find it to be a tool to help monitor my health and I know of a few people that rely very strongly on the daily results they receive from Fitbit.I would recommend this product if you want to follow a specific lifestyle.

Good replacement for my old inspire hr

My old 4+ year old Fitbit(inspire hr) had seen better days. It still worked but required charging more frequently. I saw a deep discount for an Inspire 2 on Amazon. I read the reviews and about it’s upgrades and decided to trade up. My new device is water resistant and provides the same (even more) functionality. I’m not a prospect for the “premium” options so I’m deriving excellent value for my dollars.

Great, but the battery…

I love this product, but the battery life pretty quickly begins to wear out. At first, it would last 10 days, then a week, then a little less than a week, and now, after just over a year of use, I’m charging it twice a week. I know this is much better than similar products, but the quick decline in battery life was disappointing. I love that I can wear it swimming and how well it tracks activity and sleep. Another drawback is that it’s almost impossible to see the screen display when in the sun or even in the shade when outside. This is frustrating when a call comes in or a goal is met causing vibration and I can’t see anything at all. Overall, I would recommend, but I wish I’d known these drawbacks up front.

Definitely does what it’s supposed to!

It’s great, and does everything I need it to besides replying to texts. But it’s super great for the price! The battery life lasts days for me

A solid affordable option

Pros:1. Inexpensive2. Very good basic features. I use it to track my sleep patterns, my activity throughout the day, and my workouts (mainly running, and occasional swimming). My Fitbit does a good job with all that. I also enjoy the guided meditation feature; I consider it a nice bonus.Cons:1. Screen brightness. Normally it’s not a problem. It becomes a problem when you go outside and it happens to be a sunny day.2. Side buttons become very non responsive if your fingers get wet. I find it very difficult to operate my Fitbit when I run and get all sweaty. I have to admit, that’s my biggest issue with this gadget.

Great for the price.

The only thing I don't like about this is the buttons to bring up the data. A bit awkward.

Good replacement

It is a bit different from the earlier one but eventually I figured out how to use it. The battery life is really good

Good device for the money. Monthly fee will be a bit high for the premium for us.

This device does some things well and some not. But given the price it packs a lot in. I probably would have kept it but my wife returned hers and we had each gotten one together. Likes: the heart rate monitor is great, the app does a lot of tracking, like the trends, premium food videos great, interface good, strap superior to the amazon halo which kept falling off and was a pain, small and light, battery life great - lasts over a week, sleep tracking was handy, step counter pretty good, little feedback about activity levels good. Dislikes: lifting to view is not always perfect and I prefer my classic watch but always on isn’t possible with a screen, screen brightness in daylight not good as in you can’t see it in bright sunlight, a lot of features are with the premium subscription which is expensive after a year, calorie estimate is probably overestimating burn by 50% at least for me, so one would overeat if using this as a measure, the step counter and distance estimate doesn’t track if you aren’t swinging your arms - like pushing a stroller and I would think it could ping the iPhone gps for that periodically, it only syncs data if you open the app. Overall I think it’s a great health tool. It does what it does pretty well and is very cost effective. I wish the premium subscription was less, but it would be worth it if you are using this for serious health change efforts. I already did track a lot of this data myself but this makes it easier. If I had the funds I like the physical style of a larger watch as I’m an average size somewhat athletic man but this has advantages. I will get this or another one again probably later, when I help my wife to find the right one for her. It’s fun to share:) I think they hit a good price to performance and feature balance. I am not sure how it would hold up over time, I think these scratch easily and the battery wears out from what I hear but I can’t confirm that. You won’t go wrong with this though.

Pros and cons

Love it’s functionality and tracking. Screen dims with age and sweat inhibits the ability to operate wrist functions during workouts or gameplay
