Reliable and long lasting

My Inspire 2 has served me well for over 5 years… holds a charge for 5-7 days… reliable!

My second fitbit watch

When my old fitbit “died” I replaced it with a smaller version. I Like the slim size and the long time it will hold a charge. The features all work as advertised— Fitbit premium is worth the extra fee. My only complaint is that it is hard to read the screen in bright light and I find it hard to scroll through different features— that may be the downside of the smaller size. Since those features are accessible on my phone it is a minor inconvenience.

Great if you don’t expect too much.

I guess you can only expect so much for the price. The Inspire 2 is packed with features but only a few are reliable. The sleep function is useless in my opinion. If I’m to believe it, many nights I’m only getting 3 to 5 hours sleep which I know is not even close. It is also unreliable in giving your pulse, I find it often reading much higher than my actual pulse, for example reading 113 when I’m resting and other more accurate devices say it really 73. Which in turn means you can’t believe the “Active Minutes” reported. But on the plus side, I believe it to be a good pedometer at a reasonable price. The step counting is as accurate as you can expect from a wrist worn device. As the action of your wrist varies, such as walking versus pushing a shopping cart, so too will your results vary but not so much as to make it useless.Durability and comfort seem excellent so far. I do find the screen impossible to read without my reading glasses and out in sunshine it’s a blank. But I always have my phone handy and can look at the data on that anywhere so it’s not a big deal. At my advanced age, I wouldn’t expect to be able read anything that small anyway.I gave it a good rating because all I really wanted was something to count distance and steps and I am very satisfied with that function, especially for the price. But if you really want all the fancy other features to be accurate and useful, I would look to a more expensive unit.

Very Short Charging cord

I only ordered this because AMAZON is discontinuing support for its HALO. It offers a multitude of features. I just want something to track my steps and calories when I wear it. I can do that without having to buy a subscription for all the other stuff. For those of you interested in all the options it does come with a 1-year free subscription which I think is pretty awesome. The direction book was clear enough, so there were no issues there. I was very impressed that it comes with a second strap for the unit. Those of us who have a bigger wrist now have a band that will fit.It has a slim and trim design to it. I have a big watch collection and don’t want to give up wearing my watches for the Fitbit. I wear it on the opposite wrist, and it is very comfortable. The only disappointing thing about the fit bit is its charging cord. It’s only about 6 inches long. In my opinion that is a huge design flaw. That eliminates it sitting on a table or counter to change unless the plug is at countertop level. My HALO had about a 16-inch cord so I could charge it from almost any plug in the house. (I have switched all my regular sockets out for sockets that contain at least 2 USB plugs in them.) This is the only negative thing I have to say about the item.Overall, I am very pleased with it and recommend it.

Great fitbit

Fit - I personally think this is a great fitbit. I had concerns about the fit like many reviewers but I just adjusted it so it was slightly further away from my actual wrist bone - you know that bone on your wrist that sticks out? that :) when I adjust it and move it there, it feels just fine for me, not awkward and not so tight that it cuts off circulation. It also doesn't make the fitbit vibrate because it's not that close to the wrist. You should place is right on the wrist bone anyway because it could be uncomfortable and irritating to the skin around there so I'd recommend adjusting the fit slightly away from the wrist.Accuracy - it seems pretty accurate for the most part. There were a few times that the sleep tracking was a bit off. I've had one night where I slept 6+ hours and it still didn't give me a rating of my sleep. but it could've just been a fluke, the rest seemed pretty accurate.App - The calories burned aren't accurate I think according to the steps taken. Supposedly you burn 40 calories per 1000 steps I think, or at least around that much and the fitbit app would say something like 7000 steps = 2000 calories burned. If you want accurate calorie burn count I would connect the fitbit app to the fitnesspal app. The fitnesspal app gives a more accurate calories burned plus you can log your food as well and has more food options and calorie accuracy than the fitbit appDevice - I got the black one and it's pretty nice and discreet on my wrist. The screen part is kinda thick compared to a regular watch but I got used to it quick. The downside is when I unpacked the wristband and fitbit inspire 2, the wrist band had a scrape on it so the matte coating had a peel on it straight out of the box. I didnt return it because it didn't seem like a big deal and I really wanted a fitbit. But over time, that peel that existed before I even used it. began to peel more and more. It's probably not noticeable to other people but I definitely notice it. It's cosmetic so it doesn't impact the function of the device, it's just a nuisance.Battery - I have it on sleep mode and lower brightness and I think it extends the battery a lot longer than 10 days, closer to 2.5 weeks maybe even 3. Regular mode, it can sort of sense if you turn your wrist to look at it and the screen automatically lights up which is nice but it takes a few seconds to sleep again. I thought this was a bit of a battery waster so I turned it off and whenever I need to see the screen, I just pinch the sides once and I can see everything and pinch again to have the device sleep immediately.Overall I really like this device, and for the price, I think it tracks steps, heart rate, and distance really well. Sleep tracking is pretty good but not perfect (it does sense when I wake up in the middle of the night which is pretty cool) - I would say sleep tracking is 95% accurate which is still great in my opinion. Calories burned tracking is completely off but like I said, I use fitnesspal which is a free app and accurately converts your steps into the appropriate amount of calories burned, and it makes food tracking a lot easier. I've only ever had the step tracker fitbit that attaches to your belt or something and I enjoy this inspire 2 a lot more and use it a lot more. I've had this fitbit for about 2.5 months so I'd say it's holding up pretty well so far, minus the initial peeling on the wristband that came straight out of the box.

Great for tracking sleep.....

And I love it for tracking my elliptical use!I have to switch wrists every couple weeks. Then you have to go into the app and change it to either dominant or non-dominant hand.Other than that it works great!

Floors

I'm happy with most of it but despite walking the longest staircases I could find I have not gotten even 1 floor. Not sure if something is wrong with the fitbit.

Lasted 9 months

I was going to rate this lower but after contacting Fitbit directly, they quickly replaced the Inspire 2 that stopped working after 9 months (hence the 4-star rating). They only lost 1 star to make this a 4-star rating because of how Fitbit stood behind their product.

I wear it daily, screen brightness is very low.

I like this fitbit a lot. It works really well with the app and it was nice to include the one-year premium with it. It tracks steps fairly accurately. However, I can't say much about the sleep tracker as I have nothing to compare it with, but its definitely tracking something. How accurately? Who knows. My biggest complaint is that the screen is not bright at all. For indoors, sure - no issues. However, whenever I am outside, even on an overcast day where there is not much sun, I find myself having to cup the watch with my other hand just so I can see the time. This is when the dim brightness setting is turned off. And there is only two options for brightness: on and off. But even with the dim setting off it is still difficult to see anything on the watch when you're outside.

Very reliable and consistent on data collection.

Love the product. The only shortfall is probably my lack of knowledge of the device programming (setup). Some of the variable functions and displays seem to change unexpectedly and I haven’t been patient enough to connect to a computer to change them back. I have tried to do so from the display with no luck. Everything is working it’s just not quite the way it was. It is a very good device, I love it.
