The PROS of this vacuum: it is really light weight, powerful suction, works great on tile, it’s bagless, you can see through the canister to know when it’s full, nice hand formed handle, it comes with a brush & small crevice attachments, I enjoy the red color. The CONS of this vacuum: it’s not a very smooth running vacuum it doesn’t glide as nicely as others & takes some umph to turn it about, the cord is short but this is for small spaces so don’t expect a super long cord, lastly this bad boy is LOUD with a high pitched type of squeal to it. No I don’t think it’s defective. OVERALL: would I recommend it to someone who needs a cheap vacuum that does the job? YES, if you need a vacuum with out wanting to spend $100’s of dollars then this will work AND it will get the job done! If you need something for hardwood or tile floors this works for that as well.

This Dirt Devil Bagless Upright comes with two onboard attachments, i.e. a brush and nozzle. The sweeper is heavier than expected even though it says it's 9 pounds. I have back issues so I need a lightweight sweeper. It is extremely noisy to the point of being overbearing. It has a very powerful suction which does not work good on rug runners .. is simply too strong of a suction that pulls a runner up so you can't sweep it smoothly. It also does not pick up from the side of the sweeper when sweeping next to the wall; and it does not pick up good on tile as spits dirt out. Did just okay on my area rug. The cord is not long enough nor is the hose. Very disappointed in this model.

The vacumn suction worked great but load like grinding from underneath .talk to dirt devil and they will replace it.hope next one is good

We love our vacuum! It is super lightweight and powerful. Unfortunately, the attachment came used? It looks like someone used the vacuum and returned it.

Needs redesigning. Power cord location on floor causes it to drag in way of vacuuming. Upright foot control too difficult to use. Has to be stomped to stand machine in upright position. Dust bucket easy to use. Machine weight fine.
