I was reluctant to order this device considering my experiences with other QI devices. To my surprise I plugged in my iPhone XS and it lit up like a Christmas Tree and started charging! I also retrotit a iPhone 5s with a plug and play device and it worked as well. I liked it so much that I ordered another unit!

This charger is terrific. I love how it props my phone up while it is charging. And it works great through cases - even my sister-in-law's Otterbox case. I was also able to use it sideways so I could use my earphones at the same time it was charging. Cheaper and far more useful than a splitter!
