I had been used to a lighter weight curling iron and ended up burning my neck several times. I think I've finally "gotten it" and know how to hold the curling iron where I don't lower it. Just be cautious when you are first using this iron since it is a professional style and much heavier than the local Walgreen's brand.

My wife doesn't usually use curling irons, she has very straight hair and has only used curling irons a few times in her whole life. She likes the curling iron, but she says it doesn't curl as much as she would like, maybe that is because of her lack of experience using a curling iron

I really like the long cord, and it doesn't get tangled. You can choose from different heat settings, so you can save your hair from some damage. The one thing that could use improvement is the on/off switch. I have accidentally bumped it several times and turned it off while curling my hair. It does heat up quickly and I actually own 2 Hot Tools curling irons in different sizes.

I received it in perfect shape, good package. I already used twice and it worked perfectly, just be careful to not use too high temperature, it could burn your hair. It makes very beautiful curls and let your hair very shinny. I also use a protection before using the iron, just in case. Curls still going at the end of the day. Small criticism about the pliers which is little hard to press, but maybe it's because it's new.

the spring is kind of stiff, but that is because it is new. I like the overall look and feel.

I was looking for an iron that would hold my curls for longer than 1/2 hour like my last iron. This iron gets hot enough and hold curls really well, my curls will stay in till well into the next day even. Highly recommend this product....

This is my 2nd Hot Tools curling iron. It heats up fast and curls well.

I love this curling iron, however, it is about my fifth one as the spring on the clamp tends to loosen with use. When the clamp is not tight smaller amounts of hair are not held effectively and they just fall off of the barrel. Hot Tools supplies an extra spring to install when this happens, but then the replacement spring loosens. Consequently, I just purchase another as I've never found another brand of curling iron that works as well for me (when the clamp is tight).
